Baydale Beck Inn – DarlingtonAs a group of 6 people who regularly eat hear, we can't fault it. It is a no nonsense, down to earth eating house with good food and great staff. I think this is a well kept secret. Don't expect frills and fancies. Chris (proprietor) does fantastic steaks. Matured and prepared to order. Ask for a kebab, you will be surprised (gastronomically)

Seaham Hall Hotel – SeahamNever been to a restaurant with so much choice, and all fresh, took me 15mins just to read the menu. the atmosphere was great just wanted to stay there all night. imagine one restaurant where u can have a starter from India, a main course from china and a dessert from Italy all in one night.
Bridge Inn – DarlingtonFrom entering the restaurant u instantly feel as though you are abroad, with the Mediterranean decor. The palm trees are a nice touch aswell! "Food From Around the world" they quote, but i can honestly say its true! The food was excellent!
