Tree of York Road, The – PeterleeI have tried fish and chips from all over and the quality and price here is excellent
i Fry – Chester-le-StreetThis is disgusting. I have never in my life been to a restaurant and been treated so appallingly. Table was filthy and waitress refused to clean it. I refused to accept food until table was cleaned so she wiped the table mats, mine still had dried in mushy peas on it when she had finished. I cleaned the table myself with her cloth. Food came on a dirty plate -it had dried on baked beans all over it. Watress took it away and transferred food to another dirty plate. She then had the cheek to bring us dirty cutlery. I would never eat here again and woukd not advise anyone else to do so.
Barnacles – BillinghamJust spent Mothers Day at the Three Horse Shoes. The food was excellent and the staff were excellent. Had a great afternoon, thanks to all the staff.

Palm Sugar at Auction House – DurhamI had a quick lunch and a dinner at The Wonderful Foxhole a couple of weeks ago. I was very impressed by the relaxed and friendly welcome upon walking in. The atmosphere is just right and I feel I could spend a lot of time enjoying myself there. The menu looked very inviting and I was not disappointed in my food choices. My husband said it was one of the most delicious steak with some of the chops he has eaten!! Definitely will be returning again.
The Foxhole – DarlingtonGood food in excellent surroundings with very good service. I will go again........soon.
Il Palazzo – Barnard CastleService is excellent and foods tasty!
Il Palazzo – Barnard CastleVery good food food at all times.
Blue Lagoon – DarlingtonHad a great meal here for our anniversary. We had the Tapas menu , no skimping here , the portions were large -even the starter. Staff were brilliant. Wine selection was spot on, nice atmosphere , couldn't fault the place. We will definitely be back with our friends.
Tree of York Road, The – PeterleeI took my friends for a meal after sampling the food a few weeks back. VERY disappointed! After hearing the manager speak rudely to her staff, she then took it upon herself to speak to me in the same manner. The meals (half of them) took 50 minutes to be served and then came out cold! The other meals came out ten minutes later, despite a fuss whilst ordering to avoid this. This is unfortunate as the first time I visited it was totally opposite!
Tree of York Road, The – PeterleeStaff seemed a bit unorganised and had to be reminded that there was several orders that hadn't been served. The way drinks were ordered was disorganised but good value and lovely food.
Tree of York Road, The – PeterleeAbsolutely beautiful! Staff are wonderful and the food is unbelievable! The interior itself looks beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great place to eat.
Tree of York Road, The – PeterleeI visited this pub on the 6th june 2014, I was having a nice quiet soft drink with my friend listening to the karaoke and then my friend was approached by a drunk young woman, shouting and screaming at my friend. This young lady was also with another company of four other women which started shouting, screaming and threatening. They also tryed to start on me but I ignored them, I have never seen or spoke to these women in my life so they were complete strangers, I think they came in to cause trouble and pick fights with people who try to have a nice night out, I went to the bar to tell the bar maids what had just happened and they said and did nothing, members of the public helped more. I will not be returning to Gaietys to have a night out ruined by drunk women who can not control there behaviour in public places, If something like that happened in a nice respectful place, They would of been told to leave, I was advised the place has cctv, Could The owners please look at the cctv footage
