Antico – DurhamGreat food, wine and value.
Antico – DurhamFirst visit last Friday but will not be the last! Superb food, wonderful atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff - what more could you ask?
Antico – DurhamWent on a Saturday for the early bird offer. We both had potato skins for starters then pasta. Both meal were fantastic. The potato skin were lovely and crispy with an usual twist, think it was pamersam cheese melted on the top - really delious They was a great choice for pastas. The pastas were also lovely. I stayed safe and had bolonaise but my hustand had a dish with chicken, spicy sausage mushroom and pesta which was delicious. There was loads of meat and the mushrooms were unreal they was a selection of different mushroom, some were tiny - not what you can buy from your supermarket. So overall the quality and taste of the food was outstanding - better than any of the food we had in Italy - 2 weeks ago!! Also the staff were all lovely and we felt very safe. Hand gel as you walk in and also a bottle on each table. We will definately be back
Antico – DurhamExcellent service and food was delicious. A fab first family eat out in Covid times.

Antico – DurhamMyself, my friend and our two teenage daughters enjoyed a delicious meal at Antico on Thursday evening. Everyone’s food was excellent and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Very Covid -19 aware too!! A fabulous evening all round. We’ll definitely be back.
Antico – DurhamVery good meal Excellent friendly and helpful staff.
Antico – DurhamLovely night. Food 1st class, (think chicken dish should of included chips and veg or salad not just one of the 3) Nothing a bother for the staff. Very friendly. Covid precautions done well. Tables well spaced. All staff wore visors. Definitely recommend.
Antico – DurhamMe and my friend visited on Monday for the eat out to help out scheme and it was understandably a very busy night. Atmosphere was fantastic and all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered a shandy for a drink but the draught was off so I got a bottle of beer and a lemonade which was flat. However, then ordered a glass of rose which was delightful. We ordered halloumi fries and arancini for starter which were absolutely lovely. For mains we got the lamb and the stuffed chicken. The stuffed chicken was absolutely beautiful and the Calabrian sausage inside was very hot and spicy! My friends lamb was cooked pink as requested however it lacked substance. I do believe it was great quality food but for the price paid there should have been more on the plate for the lamb dish. We then ordered dessert and this is where it went downhill. My friend ordered profiteroles which were spot on. I ordered the chocolate brownie...and I couldn’t eat it as it was inedible it was that hard and burnt. We had to chase the waiters for dessert as it was 10pm and there was still no sign of it. The till had skipped and it was not the fault of the staff who were extremely apologetic and accepted full responsibility for the inedible brownie. This was taken off the price of the bill and was handled extremely well. So a very mixed bag but understandably the staff were at maximum capacity, dealt with the situation as best they could and were so helpful. It would not deter me from going back and I look forward to my next visit

Antico – DurhamAnother lovely meal, you cant fault anything.
Antico – DurhamI had never been, but will definitely be going back! The staff couldn’t do more for you if they tried. And the maitre d' on the evening was so good. The food was lovely, afternoon specials menu, was very well priced. Next time I think we will try the pizza, as we had food envy with everyone that came out of the kitchen.

Antico – DurhamMy second visit since reopening and had another great meal. We went for Sunday lunch which was superb, even asked how we liked our beef and the gravy was the best I’d tasted in a long time. The staff in this restaurant are lovely, they really make you feel welcome. My son loved the place so much that he booked a table for the next night!
