Already done a review yesterday , very disappointed .

Menu very limited and pretentious. Used to do lovely paninis but now I struggled to find anything ‘normal’ so ordered sausage roll. It came out so full of different herbs it was inedible. The two people I was with tried it and didn’t like it either. Service was great. Lovely staff. Coffee was delicious. Will go elsewhere for food though.

I came with friends to the Owl for my birthday (13th Jan) we had such a lovely time the food was excellent. The staff were lovely. We did go early in the week so it was quieter which we didn’t mind atmosphere was lovely still. I have eaten in the owl many times before and always enjoyed the food. Another bonus it’s dog friendly. We will be back.

This was my second visit. Not as good as the first time unfortunately. While the staff were very pleasant and helpful service was a little slow and we had to ask chase our drinks post meal. Vegetarian options were limited.

We came here to celebrate my birthday and food was amazing, staff were polite and friendly. Had a nice time and we will definitely come again.

I was a little disappointed on this occasion The chicken was not available yesterday nor was the Rose Prosecco We eat here regularly and enjoy the good service the atmosphere etc My husband had roast beef it looked good My pork belly did not come up to expectations We would go again

Lovely fresh food with a good choice of food. Staff very helpful and friendly. Only downside is the. Coffee,just tastes awful. Please change your brand as it's too bitter. This has been like this every time.

I’ve eaten here a few times over the last year or so. The food was tasty but the service was disappointing. We were told it would be a 40min wait for food when we ordered but the waitress wrote our table down incorrectly so we ended up waiting a lot longer. After a complaint the food arrived quickly!

Food is delicious as always, not enough choice of fruits . Stuff is friendly . It was so cold inside we couldn't enjoy this time as we usually do. We tried eat quick as possible.

Eaten here many times over the last 2 years or so and recommended it often to others. I have been disappointed with my last 2 visits. I recommended it for the 2nd year running as a Christmas meet up with 9 friends, we booked, we selected our food well I advance but once seated we waited for well over an hour for our food. It was busy and we were offered free hot drinks in recompense. Fine, good service resumed. Yesterday I ordered an open chicken sandwich, the chicken was disgustingly rubbery, I left almost the entire meal as delivered to table. I was once again offered a hot drink in exchange for a poor meal. It didn't wash this time. My friends reported her quiche was delicious. Time for new venue.

We have been here several times before and it never disappoints. Staff were friendly and attentive; food was good and overall good value for money

Always enjoy going to The Ship. It’s a lovely pub, friendly warm atmosphere, staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Had a lovely Sunday roast this weekend. Will be back.

we had a fantastic Sunday lunch with family and friends on January 4th The service food and drinks were as always first class. Most enjoyable meal where the attention to detail was superb. Thank you so much

Excellent food and service from the lady who seated us and the lady who took the order. Abit let down by the lady small with long dark hair who bought the food. She disappeared without asking if we required sauces etc to the point I had to go and find some and she did not return to see if we wanted extra drinks etc even though she did appear at the end after we had paid to clear our table. Needs to learn that good service should mean returning sooner not just plonking food down and moving on

Great afternoon lovely service, food and atmosphere

Cheap and cheerful but for the price, can't beat the selection of food. The chaffing dishes were constantly monitored and cleaned and replenished. Soft drinks were unlimited and deserts were very nice.

Yet another amazing brunch was enjoyed. It has been such a joy to watch “Skylark” grow into such a fantastic business while never losing its charm or enthusiasm. A truly lovely place that I love visiting whenever I can. Such a great place for eating, socialising or even to just to grab a takeaway, go and discover it for yourself, it will not disappoint ⭐️
