Very nice meal- usual excellent service & good atmosphere Only issue was one of the poached eggs was covered in Hollandaise sauce which I do not like and I didn’t notice it on menu as it was quite small writing - maybe should be made more obvious but otherwise no complaints

The service was rather slow on this occasion with it taking 50 mins for dinner to arrive. It’s quite hard to get the staffs attention but when you do they are very pleasant. We’ve been a few times and I’m sure will return. I love the Bhudda Bowl dish but fancied a change today

We ordered 2 open sandwiches, although they tasted very nice for £15 each we found it just to small. 1 slice of bread with salmon on it, no side salad or a handful of crisps nothing, we left feeling hungry. For a cafe, I think these prices are high and insufficient amount of food, unfortunately we shall not be returning

Grumpys Diner – SouthendWe booked a table on the spur of the moment and very last minute. We arrived early and had a drink at the bar, within 5 minutes our table was ready. We both ordered the roast dinner, and it was delicious. Plenty of flavour, cooked to perfection and very tasty. Clean plates all round and very full belly’s! The service was excellent. If you are looking for a tasty Sunday treat, I would not hesitate to recommend The Dukes Head.
