Once again, the service was extremely disappointing. 35 minutes before drinks arrived and 55 minutes for my breakfast. Although I think this is a lovely venue, I think the service is slow and the food and drinks overpriced. I very much doubt we will return.

There was a great, extensive list of unique beers (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) which was cool to try something different. We both had the burger which was super tasty, and the other food also looked great. We ordered both the tiramisu and key lime pie for dessert, but didn’t quite another space after burgers!! We will be back with our non-vegan family, who I’m sure will also love it. Would definitely recommend!
Stoked Vegan BBQ – SouthendFor the first time ever, I was disappointed to have to wait over 40 mins for fish and chips. My friend eventually had to start her coffee and scone as it was getting cold. The staff finally apologised after I queried the delay, but it took the edge off our visit. Normally very good service here
The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterOnce again my wife and I experienced a wonderful lunch at the Barn Cafe. We both chose a Barn Burger, Grilled chicken breast with lots of elements. Our meals arrived in good time and as ordered. Each platter arrived with the advertised bowl of triple cooked chips, which were excellent. However, a few moments later an additional bowl of chips arrived much to our surprise and delight. Apparently “the kitchen” weren’t entirely content with serving the initial bowls. The service is always friendly and engaging whilst remaining professional.

Unfortunately my friend was involved in a bad car accident - she is mostly ok, it could have been far worse, but the car will be written off. Please could you thank your staff for calming me down and making sure I was OK to drive. They were so thoughtful and it was much appreciated at a very stressful time. I'm so sorry I didn't get to eat lunch as you have a wonderful menu as well as a beautiful venue. I hope to return in the future.

But I have to say the roast potatoes were really disappointing. Really hard on the outside and hard on the inside too. As if they had been reheated. We ordered an extra portion too and hardly ate any. It really spoiled my dinner and everyone left some of them. The pudding was very nice though
