Lovely meal staff very pleasant didn’t have to wait to long until we were served

always had great food here, staff are friendly and atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Menu is small but with a nice variety to suit different tastes.

Had a lovely lunch here on Wednesday 19th March 2025, the food was delicious and an excellent service, will definitely be coming here again. Thank you.

Booked a table for 6.30 pm for our Golden Wedding Anniversary but didn't get food until 8pm. Most of the meals were poorly cooked, especially the steak, which was well done not medium. Would not recommend your pub to anyone. Felt sorry for the waitress serving us.

Had a really nice afternoon with a couple of my old work mates! The food was fantastic. We will be back again soon!

Good food, good service, lovely views

Very welcoming and happy to accommodate our little dog. Warm & comfy on a wet & windy day so we chatted to our friends in a convivial atmosphere. The food was fine but unfortunately the leek & potato soup was too highly spiced so we had to leave it.

Went for valentines was told table service but had to keep going bar to order drinks and food, waited a hour for starter which was described toasted bread but came freezing cold and not toasted ,butter was solid then had to wait another hour for mains which came was nice but had to ask for the rest of food and when came the onion rings were really greasy that’s all I could taste was grease very under staffed and disappointing service, was very cold inside was day by the fire which hadn’t been lit and just had the fan blowing on us and the atmosphere was not very romantic people rowdy and swearing not very good for a valentines night

Food is lovely and good value for money, just a bit slow service, there seemed to only be one guy serving and taking orders so didn't want to complain also very cold in the building

Went for Sunday lunch with family. We were warned that there was a 40 minute wait for food and I’d say it was at least that. Appreciate that Sunday lunchtimes are busy but that is quite a long time. I had fish and chips which was decent. Those that had roasts got a rather flat Yorkshire pudding though the rest looked ok. The kids pizza looked like it probably came out of the freezer. The beer was good. The service was fine. Overall I thought it was OK. It’s a big pub so maybe trying to cater for more than it can reasonably manage when full? I’d go again but it might not be might first choice.

A wonderful meal. The restaurant was busy but it was a sunday lunchtime. The staff managed wonderfully. We will of be returning.

I regularly dine at this pub. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Came for Sunday lunch to celebrate family birthday. Good to see the pub busy. We were advised at time of ordering it might take up to minutes. Food did take a little longer than normal but was within the 40 minutes. The Sunday lunch was great, good portions, hot and very tasty. We all enjoyed our visit, thank you to all staff.

Food was good, service was good, beer was good. Prices aren't bad but we used discount vouchers that reduced the cost by 25% on food to was great value.

Very relaxed environment for Sunday lunch

Superb Sunday roast with the family , service was good , nice welcome and a lovely cosy atmosphere

Sunday lunch 26th jan 2025. Was quite nice. Roast lamb lovely but roast potatoes dry. Too much broccoli but cabbage and carrots nice and gravy tasty. Service good an liquor coffee lovely. Be better if they told you what the veg would be then one could choose which to have. Didn't have dessert so cant comment on that. A pleasant experience over all
