Popped in on Monday with my husband for lunch, what a beautiful pub. It was lovely and busy with a great atmosphere. We both chose from the 2 for 1 menu, a Chicken Tikka Curry and Ham,egg and chips. Food was really nice, very hot, presented well and great value. Will definitely be back. Lovely staff. Well done Carriers Inn

The meal unfortunately was average my curry was cool the pies were fine and the other meal chilly con carne didn't have much taste. The puddings were okay but the eaton mess was nothing like one and over priced.

We received a warm welcome and we ordered our food which arrived in a timely fashion. We ordered the steak burgers with a side of onion rings and then shared a waffle topped with ice-cream, biscoff sauce. All the food was served hot, the burger was delicious, one of the best I have eaten in ages. Very happy and we will be back again.

Food was fabulous. Really tasty & freshly cooked. We did however have to wait for 50 minutes for our Sunday roast to arrive as it was really busy but we didn’t mind as we weren’t in a rush but we did feel like we could have been looked after better. We had to wait ages to get our drinks and even considered going up to the bar to order our own. We did book our table for 2pm but on arrival we were stuck behind a line of walk ins so we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. I think this needs to be looked at going forward. Other people around us were complaining as they had been waiting for a long time too.

Great service, lovely food

Lovely place to eat. Was quiet when we visited so atmosphere probably not at it's best. Service was great with staff members very attentive. Food was extremely good . Both of us had the homemade Steak and Ale Pie and was impressed. Food would have been a 5 but had to ask for Starter to be heated up as soup was not over hot. Staff where courteous and sorted this straight away. When it came back it was piping hot and delicious.

Went for Sunday lunch. Pub not too busy. Food was served quite quickly but with no cutlery or serviettes. The manager said he would bring them over with sauce. We waited ages as he obviously forgot about us . I had to go to the bar and ask for them . They were placed on the table with no apology. Will not be coming back.

It is such a shame Helter Skelter are stopping serving a full menu of food in October 2024. This has been our go to place for the family for several years now.

Never fails to be fantastic, staff amazing. Food beautiful, well presented and delicious. The barmaid was fabulous, efficient, helpful and accommodating. The pub was a little chilly on this vist, but previous visits have been cosy ad warm.

Simply one of the best pubs around. Worth travelling to. Great reception, easy pace of delivery and very good food. The fish and chips was certainly the stand out dish!

The Carriers is in a beautiful location with a great garden space. They have an extensive menu and the food served to our party of 3 was really good. The staff were welcoming, helpful and efficient. We felt the food and drinks were value for money. My only small personal criticism is the lack of a traditional draught bitter with Wainwrights Gold being the best alternative.
