Will likely not return! Was really looking forward to trying Henry’s Smokehouse as didn’t want to go to Hickory’s in Thornton again for my partners birthday. However wish I hadn’t bothered. We arrived at 5pm on a Thursday and it was quiet which wasn’t a problem but by 7pm our main food had still not arrived. There was no drinks menu as it’s fairly new to opening which again wasn’t a problem but the server didn’t really know what alcohol they had. They implied they had strawberry/raspberry gin but instead of coming and saying they didn’t have that flavour they just brought a different flavour. We ordered a side to come with our main but this came out as a starter, we had empty glasses on our table for over an hour and despite waiting staff frequently walking pass and me shouting for them to come over no one asked if we wanted another drink. I saw our main food go to another table where 1 person had ordered the same and the other different so my partners meal went back to the kitchen. A different server then came out with that tables food and was confused as to why they were already eating. By the time they came to our table with our food we was past the point of hunger and didn’t want to eat no more. We said we were leaving and not paying on this occasion, we had asked for the bill for the drinks and the server provided us with the whole bill despite us not eating the food. A manager came out and said I’ve not asked you to pay, I’m just trying to feed you - he was rude in my opinion and very unapologetic towards the situation. We witness several tables come and go in the time we were there without eating and people going up to order their own drinks/food despite it being table service. Overall terrible experience, I appreciate new places have teething problems and people need to learn about good customer service/creating an atmosphere but I feel the establishment has opened prematurely. Ended up have a McDonalds in Morrisons Car Park!

As always an absolutely fantastic meal. We love the food here so much that we are now making it our end of week treat every week. Really gorgeous food, polite and friendly staff and a clean and warm restaurant.

Downstairs seating away from any door draughts please

Being a very new restaurant, I assume there are still some teething problems. The service was very, very slow. There seemed to be plenty of staff around, but the waitresses were never sure who had actually received their food. They occasionally went from table to table, asking people if they were still waiting for their main course. The kitchen must have been overwhelmed because it took about 30 minutes for the starters to arrive and a further 30 for the main. I ordered brisket for the main, which tasted fine, though not as well presented as I've seen in some other review photos. I ordered the key lime pie for dessert, which took another 30 minutes to arrive and wasn't worth the wait or the price. Also, there was no drinks menu available. Between being seated, waiting for my order to be taken, waiting for starters, main and dessert, getting the bill, then paying and leaving, the whole visit took over 2 hours. The staff were very polite and friendly, though, and given what I saw, I'm guessing the service bottleneck was in the kitchen. The place has potential, and hopefully, these issues get resolved when it finds its feet.

Booked in at Henry’s on Friday night. 5 minutes to wait for a table..Bit of a wait for starters but no different to some other places, but o yes worth the wait , the bbq chicken wings were just delicious and the chilli prawns got a 10/10 from hubby. The main course was as good chicken fajitas and steak for hubby, cooked to perfection. Really wanted a dessert but couldn’t fit it in. No starter next time so I can have one. The staff were lovely , friendly and helpful .

We had a wonderfully delicious and plentiful afternoon tea yesterday with champagne which was excellent and couldn't have been bettered. What set the day apart was the setting, the carriage waiting outside, as if we had just arrived in it - the maids dressed in period costume who were full of personality and couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant; and the red library where we were seated - a beautiful room full of interesting objects and art and of course a roaring fire. We loved every minute - it was a really special occasion.

The afternoon tea was excellent everything was very enjoyable consisting of a variety of sandwiches, cakes and desserts all very tasty. The Waiter and Waitress were both very friendly and attentive couldn't do enough. The log fire in the beautiful room gave it a special feel.

First visit over the weekend. Brilliant food, lovely atmosphere, a very friendly and accommodating team and excellent service. Highly recommend the jerk chicken wings. Will definitely be back soon - hugely impressed!

Food quality is top notch. Unfortunately due to the busy opening weekend didnt have all the items on the menu that we wanted to try. But what we did have was amazing. Would highly recommend the pulled pork tacos and mac and cheese. Chips are very unique and tasty aswell. Really cool that you can see the food being dry aged in the different fridges placed around the restaurant. Very much looking forward to trying a brisket and some ribs the next time we come here to eat

We visited Henry’s as part of their soft opening weekend. Although the food on the hole was good we found there are a lot of teething issues that need addressing in order for this restaurant to become a success. We arrived at 3pm and only left after around 6pm we waited long periods for both service and food having to go to the bar several times to ask for service and for our table to be cleared, although I appreciate there was only 2-3 staff on the floor it was small things like setting other tables whilst we where clearly sat waiting for the table to be cleared to order out desserts etc I feel more training and more staff is in order. The food itself although good the portion sizes where small for the prices paid, you have to remember their local competition for this kind of food is hickory’s in both penwortham and Fleetwood way although more experience the portions are huge. I also felt the place lacked atmosphere? Some music playing in the background to add to the theming such as southern rock and roll would have added to this it was very silent at times and didn’t add to the experience. We may return in the future but it won’t be for a few months until the teething issue are ironed out.

Our Sunday roat beef dinner was gorgeous and very tasty. Quick servive and very friendly staff. We be going again soon.

Nice food for Sunday brunch however, kids were abit confused that they were told that they couldn’t have scrambled eggs but the adults meal arrived with scrambled eggs. Service was quite poor, restaurant wasn’t too busy however no approach for more hot drinks even though our drinks had finished prior to food being delivered. Once bill arrived we were asked “what do you want to round it up to?” pressuring that we needed to provide a tip.

Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. It was very busy which meant that service was a little slow, but the staff were attentive and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely fantastic food! We went for opening night with our baby. The staff were really accommodating even though we were a little earlier than we had booked. I had the beef rib and some size which was delicious and a really good portion size! My partner had one of the hotdogs which she has been raving about since. Overall a great restaurant that I really hope will be a success as it’s great having such a nice option so close to home! Compliments to the chefs, very impressed!

Went on opening night, the food was amazing but there was more than a few teething problems. Will try again soon hopefully they will be ironed out
