the best fish and chips ever!
The Cottage – BlackpoolEvery time we eat here we have fabulous food, never afraid to recommend it to any visitors and friends and the new downstairs bar is great for a drink before or after eating. Value for money is second to none. Best and most consistent food in Blackpool.
Wah Wahs – BlackpoolThe welcome, service and best of all the great food will always make you want to return for more to this fabulous Thai restaurant. We live a 70 mile round trip away from Orathai but it's well worth the visit and never disappoints.
Orathai Restaurant – KirkhamFabulous food, we love the great selection of starters/dim sum. The service is exceptional and reasonably priced.
Jade Delight Oriental Buffet Restaurant – BlackpoolWe discovered this gem of a restaurant by accident, but what a discovery! The food was excellent and the service faultless. I would definitely recommend the meat balls starter and the pollo tiramisu. We got a free tomato garlic bread with a lovely chilli herb oil to drizzle on and free wine top ups. Unfortunately we were too full to have a dessert, but will definitely be back the next time we are in Blackpool.
Tiramisu – BlackpoolWhile at the market at fleetwood went to eat at the Granada Bar had cod chips and peas and it was excellent cooked to perfection had to tell somebody so here I am.
Granada Fish Bar and Takeaway – FleetwoodThe Trafalgar is the best restaurant in Fleetwood, the food is superb with lots of choice, staff are great my husband and I love to visit as often as we can, highly recommended.
Trafalgar Restaurant – Fleetwoodalways eat here when i come home, love it!
Wah Wahs – BlackpoolGreat Oriental restaurant with lots of choice and friendly service. The Malaysian and Thai options are particularly good. Highly recommended
Woks Cooking – LythamWent to Sandwich Plus since the new management take over to give it a try and I am sorry to report that it was not as good. The bread appears to have changed and the meat does not look or taste the same. The new design of the shop makes it too small and many times I have walked past because it looks too full and there are only 2/3 inside.....a definite no go when its raining! Dawn is still there doing a cracking job but wished they hadn't changed what was a winning formula under the previous owners . Good Luck anyhow but I will not be coming back.
Hungry Monkey – St. Annes-On-Seawe had a great party at the Atrium on Friday. Good food, service and entertainment.
Dalmeny Hotel – St. Annes-On-SeaWe all really enjoyed our Beef and Ale pies at Artisan before the big xmas shop in Booths. Place always seems to be busy so they must be doing something right.
Artisan @ Booths – Lytham20th. December 2009 This was our second visit within 2 months, and once again - faultless! The menu is varied, prepared and served beautifully, and very generous portions. All the staff here appear to be trained to a very high standard, they are, without exception, extremely courteous, attentive (without being imposing) and efficient. Today we had the set Sunday lunch, fantastic value at £14.95. Chef's home made Pate' - one of the best I've ever tasted. Roast duckling, crispy skin, tender flesh and far too much for me to finish the plate. My wife had salmon in a very flavoursome watercress sauce, and vegetables for two perfectly cooked, and again, very generous portions. Almost managed to polish off a sherry trifle, and my wife had a game attempt at the Christmas pud, but had to leave a polite spoonful eventually! Determinedly, we rounded off a lovely afternoon with coffees in the comfortable lounge, (I could have easily had a nap after all that digestive exercising), and we both went home replete and very satisfied.
Singleton Lodge Country House Hotel – Poulton-Le-FyldeWe eat out about 3 times a week all over the Fylde coast area. I am a Veggi so I prefer to go to a restaurants which have at least 2 choices of cooked food. My favourite Restaurant for variety, value and beautiful sea views is the Royal Venue. I've eaten in everything that Lancashire has to offer. Consistency is key for a regular diner and the Royal Venue offers this. If you are on a budget or out to celebrate this restaurant delivers a great dining experience. They are really switched on to those with special diets too. Last nights menu boasted 7 options of vegetarian food. Nothing in Lancashire compares! Maybe that's why it was nearly full at 7pm. I think this is an award worthy restaurant.
The Venue – Thornton-CleveleysBeen to this fantastic restaurant several times now because it is by far the best. The food is to die for, the menu caters for all and the chefs are willing to add/leave ingredients at request. The prices are great the service is even better, we have always been made to feel welcome and even though it is always busy the waiters really make time to talk you through your order to enhance your dining experience. It is next door to some of the great nightlife venues so not far to walk if your headed that way. We usually have to wait a couple of minutes for a table but we are able to get drinks at the bar and it is well worth the wait -This restaurant never has an off day !
We eat here regularly. It is so refreshing to have a local restaurant with not only great Mediterranean food - led by Pizzas & pastas - but also predominantly an adult atmosphere. Bosco offers a lovely selection of accompanying New or Old world wines to help you unwind. the wood oven baked pizzas & chilli king prawn linguine are beautifully cooked. Oh, don't forget to ask for the Tartufe for pudding ! The hostess Jen with her pleasant cheery manner & her hard working chef husband Mo and their staff make every occasion special. The personal approach makes you feel "wanted" and wanting to return. Simply superb! Andrew & Jo
Bosco – LythamI went here for tea last night and i have to say after eating in the other 2 seniors restaurants and having nice meals in the past i was very disappointed, the chips were hard and mostly burnt and the service wasn't the best. if i was going to go for fish and chips again this would not be my 1st port of call.
Seniors – Thornton-CleveleysA little overpriced for some average food, the best reason for visiting the Cartford used to be because of the superb Hart beers brewed on the premises, sadly their policy has changed and they no longer sell these award winning beers and have changed to some standard, unexciting brews. They must be the only pub in the UK that has a brewery attached and don't sell the local beer. Come on, get your act together and get these supreme beers back on tap.
