Olive Tree Brasserie – St. Annes-On-SeaWent to a dinner dance here at the weekend have to say; The food was a complete let down - The soup starter tasted of pepper and nothing else. The vegetables were cold and overcooked, the new potatoes were cold tasteless and overcooked, the roast potatoes were cold, soggy and burnt and were not crispy at all doubt they had even seen a roasting dish, the coffee when poured as a white coffee looked like it was still a black coffee. The pudding was okay probably the best part of the meal for those who had the chocolate tart but the cheese and biscuits were a big let down with no choice of cheese just what you were chosen to have and each plate differed. It was a little disconcerting having to have a drink in the bar in formal evening wear with locals and received some odd stares form the regulars which is a little off putting - this hotel could do with a bar area that is separate for dinner dances. The function room was lovely (Ballroom) like the new decor. Service by the staff was very good, the evening was enjoyable despite the poor food.
North Euston Hotel – FleetwoodLovely little place, tasty food, value for money, friendly staff and excellent presentation.
Constantine’s – BlackpoolTerrible service. Arrived having booked for 7:30pm, however was told hurriedly by staff to wait in the downstairs bar. Bought drinks and waited for approximately 30mins before somebody approached to take our order. But nobody had thought to give us a menu or communicated with us what the wait was for. Having asked the gentleman waiter (owner) if we could at least sit at our table and have our drinks there (as the bar was now getting very full with others waiting to be seated) - he hurriedly told us they were very busy and that we would just have to wait. We finally got seated at approximately 20:30 - an hour after the original booking time. We ordered from the gourmet menu, 2 steaks with different sauces. The starters arrived, they were beautiful. A while later the mains arrived, 2 steaks which I had ordered medium to well done and my partner rare, his with blue cheese sauce and mine with pepper sauce. The mains arrived, both steaks very rare and both with pepper sauce. The mains did not come with new potatoes as stated in the menu but with chips. When my husband asked the staff why one was without blue cheese sauce the main waiter came over and said he forgot to tell us that they had run out of blue cheese sauce. Absolutely terrible service. Not enough staff in the restaurant, the waiter/owner was incredibly rude, are meals were wrong and far too much hanging around. At the end of the night the waiter was not apologetic but told us that we were the only ones that didn't enjoy our night! It might have been because we were the only ones that had our meals messed up? Would never go back to this restaurant, i would never recommend it to anyone after the treatment we had. And to say the prices weren't cheap!
Novello – LythamGorgeous food, friendly staff- nothing too much trouble, value for money- would recommend to anyone.
Paramount Chinese Restaurant – BlackpoolHave visited this establishment twice - both times closed - I expected the opening hours to be similar to other local eateries and was very disappointed. For all fish and chip lovers everywhere unfortunately you have no choice but to consider somewhere else to eat on a mid week evening!
Seniors – LythamThe menu is just superb, service is great. A wide array to tantalize every taste buds. The curries are fantastic and the kebab is scrumptious with massive amount of salad and sauce.
Nile, The – KirkhamWe tried Mandarin (take away option) for the first time this Valentines Day...we were not disappointed. I think you will find the quality of the food hard to beat in this area. The delivery was swift, the food piping hot and fresh,a generous portion size with lots of fresh ingredients ...would highly recommend to anyone and we will most certainly be visiting the restaurant in the future.
Michael Wan’s Mandarin – BlackpoolExcellent food at an excellent price. Staff very friendly and always willing to help if you fancy trying something different. Plus free delivery. Would definitely recommend the Dilraj.
The Dilraj – St. Annes-On-SeaWe used to love the carvery that was put on here, however we went today to find out they no longer do the carvery. nevertheless we decided to stay and have the Sunday roast. This turned out to be the worst meal i have ever had!! the meat it processed meat and the veg taste like rubber. I would not recommend this place to anyone anymore, the food it warmed up, processed and disgusting!!!!
County Hotel – Lythamjust another average chip shop, potatoes not prepared properly black eyes and green parts left on chips, greasy overcooked fish. something you would expect on blackpool seafront, catering for holiday makers and passing trade not specialising on quality for the local market
Seafarers Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaI have been visiting The Dilraj for about the last 8 yrs. The food is of a good standard and the staff are very friendly. All the basic Indian dishes are on the menu including my favourite 'Chili Chicken Masalla' The kitchen is 'open' to the waiting area and always tidy and clean. The general attitude is to provide good service and for as long I can remember the same chefs have worked here.
The Dilraj – St. Annes-On-SeaI had a 80z steak last night and the food was mouthwatering. A good chef definitely speaks volumes. They are doing 2 meals for £5 and the couple next to me finished their meals. The ambience and friendly bar staff complimented the evening. A great budget meal for people like me who are watching their purse strings...
Highfield, The – BlackpoolI once went with friends and got free lager. Although I am not a person who attends Casino's it was an interesting experience. It is a good night out for couples and groups wanting a flutter, a meal and something different to the norm. Moderation is the key and it was lovely to be by the sea. It will be more welcoming nowadays thanks to the improvement of the promenade.
Grosvenor Casino Blackpool – BlackpoolThe Cube Bar in Poulton is one of the best, if not THE best place to go to in the Poulton area. For a relaxed lunch, a mad night out or even your babies christening, Cube always delivers!!! ...the fact that it is always mad busy proves my point!
Cube Wine Bar – Poulton-Le-FyldeWe have eaten here twice now and it offers great quality, fair price and a good atmosphere. Peter Keeping
Ego Mediterranean Restaurant – LythamReally, really good Greek food (I know, I lived in Greece) but the atmosphere is a little stiff. Better in the Summer eating al fresco, unless the music gets too loud. Peter Keeping
Olive Tree Brasserie – St. Annes-On-SeaI love this place for the excellent food, from interesting hors d' to the filling and memorable mains and the calorific puds. A real treat for the buds. It is also good for watching the mid life crisis men trying to chat up the equally in crisis women dressed in their gold shoes downing copious bottles of vino. So very Lytham nouveau. Peter Keeping
