Bosco – LythamJacks Seaside Gem !! A restaurant front that screams seaside caff...yet the intimate internal setting is refreshing despite the horrendous high peak LCD screen dominating Everest proportions in the centre of the room. Amiable and accommodating, the staff seek approval not only of their clientele but also and most importantly their fare. The food is interesting with enough local produce fused into the menu to seek the diners delight. A place to take your 'Jill' when honest intimacy and squaring is required !!
Jack’s Restaurant & Bar – St. Annes-On-Seahey:) san marco's used to be at the top of my road and i only ever attended once as we don't usually go out for meals that often, it was for my sisters birthday and it was great, the meal was fantastic! and that's why i am going on Thursday 22nd april 2010 for my 15th birthday - now it has moved further down the road so it is a lot bigger and there is at least 20 of us going, wow! - good luck to the workers out there haha, i know it will be great and make me want to come back again - has anyone been recently, what are the prices? is it £8 something for a 2 course meal and a drink? write back ;D!
San Marcos – BlackpoolWe used to frequent the Deli regularly before moving to Oz. The Deli is great, bags of atmosphere, and the food they make is excellent. How I miss their floury baps! Have tried recreating in Oz but not managed it yet.. if anyone has the recipe let me know!!! Thoroughly recommend Salt of the Earth.
Salt of the Earth – Poulton-Le-FyldeI cannot praise New Norbreck Fish & Chips enough. We go to eat in regularly. The price is so reasonable. Great for a poor student like myself! The staff are great. So friendly and always remember us and take time out to talk to us. The food is just delicious. I am not a fan of fish myself but my feller assures me it is the best he's tasted locally. As for me there a wide selection of other food on offer ranging from sausages and pies to chicken. Add to that the fantastic selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages on offer and I just can't think of anywhere else I'd rather eat. Well done, and thank you for an excellent eating experience.
New Norbreck Fish and Chips – Thornton-CleveleysI have never enjoyed Chinese food as much as at "88", not only is the food excellent(freshly cooked and always hot) the welcome from billy and his lovely wife syreena is warm and genuine, nothing is too much trouble for them, get billy to tell you his stories of his days in hong kong very entertaining, yes the whole experience of eating at the 88 is delightful you don't feel rushed once you have finished eating, I recommend the king prawn fried rice a favourite of mine. I would not hesitate to recommend the 88 to anyone, I for one am now a regular there, get yourself along there and enjoy.
Eighty Eight Chinese Restaurant – LythamPorto Beano !! Accommodating and refreshing. The Taps (the neighbouring pub) provides a suitable aperitif. Entering this clinical establishment delivers a medicinal sense of dining safety. Outside of menu the staff deliver. Simple and unpretentious, Italian at its fast food best. Tiggis was missed locally in the 80's but a tiger may have filled the starter lets sea !! Dick Winner
Portofino – LythamWe shared a Rustica Pizza and Seafood pasta and had a salad and greens beans on the side. All were excellent. The owner said they were getting outside seating this week which will be nice if the weather keeps up!
Bosco – Lythamhave not been for so long as have moved but am phoning for a takeaway to night as have tried so many others don't hold a candle to their food and friendly attitude when u enter the premises .
Woo Sang Chinese Takeaway – BlackpoolMy fiance and I visited Twelve about a month ago for our anniversary. We were hoping for a special and memorable night despite the expensive menu. With Twelve being one of the most prestigious restaurants on the fylde coast, we were expecting perfection and , unfortunately it did not live up to those expectations. Our table was booked for 8:30pm and we arrived 15 minutes early, only to be brushed to one side to make way for a large, rowdy party. Because a member of their group was missing, their seating time was delayed, thus delaying ours. We waited patiently for just short of two hours before we were eventually seated. Unwilling to spoil the occasion, we kept our frustration to ourselves. I ordered the fois gras to start and was disappointed with it. My fiance played it safe with the soup, which was a better decision than mine, and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our main course arrived at just after 11pm which, by any account, is far too late to be eating dinner and consequently left me feeling nauseous. During this time we had ordered another drink along with our food. This did not arrive until our main course, after several prompts to various waiters. The bill came to £75 and considering we weren't blown away that is a steep price to pay. We left the restaurant feeling dissatisfied to say the least and will certainly not be returning anytime soon.
Twelve – Thornton-CleveleysVery nice egg fried rice, very well cooked. The sweet 'n' sour chicken was also very delicious. My friend ordered lamb pancakes. I don't usually like lamb, but this lamb was very tender and delicious with cucumber sticks. Thanks.
Woks Cooking – LythamWent to Pipers tonight for the Retro Night for my daughters birthday and can honestly say that it is the best meal we have had for a long long time. In fact my daughter went to Gordon Ramsays in Claridges this weekend and said the meal at Pipers tonight was better! We will certainly be returning whenever we can. Wonderful atmosphere and waiter and price was certainly reasonable for the fabulous meal we had. Cant wait to visit again
Pipers – GarstangWe went to Henry's Bar last Saturday with some friends. We'd been meaning to go for a while but never got around to going. Now we wish we'd gone earlier. The place was packed but the staff were very attentive, sat us down without a fuss and took our order once we were ready. The food orders arrived pretty quickly and the staff made sure we didn't sit with an empty glass! Food was lovely and the atmosphere was great. Excellent value for money and we'll be back soon. Highly recommended
Henry’s – LythamLove this place.. easily the best Chinese restaurant on the Fylde Coast!
Jade Delight Oriental Buffet Restaurant – BlackpoolThis little gem of a place is superb! We have just been for the junior dance comps in Blackpool and this lovely Italian was recommended by our hotel. All was well, right from the word go, a busy, beautifully decorated restaurant, with a vibrant atmosphere. The food and service was excellent, so much so we returned the following night. many thanks for a wonderful night, this place comes highly recommended! We have been to Blackpool year up on year, thank heavens we have now found this place as we will be back next year!
La Fontana – BlackpoolSalters Warf Toby Carvery, the staff there are absolutely brilliant, they are warm and very welcoming, that is until you meet the management. Now i went in and the manageress placed me in my seat, she was so rude, it was like she was a first time waiter or something because the way she speaks and handles the customers, it was so unreal. And then there's the way she speaks to the staff, after she sat me down, i had this really polite and kind waitress, Danielle i think it was, she was really nice and i could see she had been really busy all day, she made one mistake and then that was it, the manageress started having ago at her, the management stink to be honest, the are so patronizing and ungrateful for what their members of staff do for them, you know if it was not for all the staff there, salters warf would be a dead pub because mi sure no one would be in there if it was down to the management, to be honest i think it could be done better by monkeys than charlie and Helen, i only go in there because of the staff. BRING ON NEW MANAGEMENT THAT CAN ACTUALLY APPRECIATE THEIR STAFF, AND NOT BE ARSEHOLES LIKE THEM TWO!!!!!!!!
Salters Wharf Toby Carvery – St. Annes-On-Sea15 us had booked to eat at 7.30pm on a Thursday night and the management had advanced notice that one of the party was in a wheelchair. We arrived to find a long table (not ideal but acceptable) set out with 15 chairs - no problem, we simply removed a chair, sat down and waited....and waited....twenty minutes later a drinks order was taken and menus handed to us. I have to say the food was superb apart from one undercooked steak which was rectified without any problem. However the service was very slow. When we ordered we advised the waiter that we wanted to have main course and puddings only - not a problem we were told. The food arrived at 9.00pm - when I mentioned this to the duty manager he disputed that we had waited so long and told me I was wrong and we wouldn't have had to wait so long if we had all ordered starters. I was a little surprised at his comments. In the event none of us ordered puddings (at £5.45 each) as we were all somewhat taken aback by this chap's comments. Suffice to say our next monthly night out (we eat out as a group every month) will not be to Henrys. To conclude - the food was superb, the service rather slow.
Henry’s – LythamThe Red Fort is a firm favourite of ours and we have just been for another first class supper. The restaurant has now had a facelift and it looks very appealing and contemporary. We were not looking for a lot to eat but enjoyed a wonderful meal of mushroom puri, salmon tikka, vegetable jayanti, onion rice and one of their to die for garlic naans. Ahad and his team are always hugely attentive and welcoming. The flavours of the various dishes were wonderful, the cooking light and the presentation very attractive. We were even offered a complementary starter - a delicious small stuffed aubergine. I find this restaurant offers fabulous value for money. It provides first class take-aways too. Highly recommended.
