The Broughton Inn – GarstangHave been here lots of times over the years. Although all meals have been very good I would highly recommend the afternoon Tea. Excellent value!!
Bell Farm Tea Rooms – Knott End-On-SeaThe shovels is an all-round quality venue. I worked there for a few months before I started university and now I am a satisfied customer. The meals are of a high standard and it accomodates well for both smokers and non-smokers. The ale is fantastic with a range of choice and these are changed every day. Every serious ale drinker should definitely visit. The service is faultless and the pub has a very warm and homely feel to it.
Shovels, The – BlackpoolWent to Sala Thai for a wonderful Thai Chinese banquet. For starters I had the Tom Yung Kung, an amazing clear Thai soup with chicken, mushrooms and hot hot peppers. To follow we had a choice of three mains, a chinese beef dish, thai green curry and a chicken plate which were all very tasty and cooked to perfection. I even enjoyed the Singha beer that accompanied my meal. Sala Thai is well worth a visit or if you don't fancy a night out you should make the most of their brand new takeaway next door!
Sala Thai – BlackpoolWe visited Greens after seeing a review on Sugarvine and have to say it is one of the best restaurants we have been to - and as we are in the catering trade it takes a lot to please us!!! From the minute we walked in, we knew it was our kind of place. Not too big, good music at the right level and very friendly staff. There was a set menu at £15 if I remember correctly which had a great choice, but we went for the main menu as we were out celebrating and deserved a treat!!! The wine menu was fabulous, with wines from all over the world which had obviously been picked very carefully. We opted for a Rothschild (white, £18.00) and weren't disappointed. The food was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked, and each dish was perfectly complimented by its sauces or garnishes. We weren't rushed to finish each course and weren't hounded by the very hospitable staff - a perfect evening!!! We had 2 starters, 2 Mains, 1dessert, 1 cheese platter, 1 coffee, 3 vintage port, 1 bottle of wine and 3 drinks for a very reasonable £80. We will definetely visit again and will certainly reccommend to friends.
Greens Bistro – St. Annes-On-SeaThis is a new restaurant and it shows -- all the fixtures and fittings are brand new and the staff very friendly. Decor is very Chinese with hanging lanterns etc. Food was delicious too!
