Bell and Bottle, The – KirkhamVisited Meherin last night and was blown away by the quality ,choice and service. This is a gem of a restaurant. Many items on the menu I've never heard of before and staff only too willing to advise you on the dishes. And they do take aways! Can highly recommend, and can't wait to go again.
Meherin – Thornton-Cleveleysgreat chip shop, food was very well prepared and i would love to revisit this place with a lovely man.
Grasmere, The – BlackpoolExcellent food, great service and a good price. Chef's specials are superb. Highly recommended
Maya – Poulton-Le-FyldeDon't bother!
Waverley Cafe – BlackpoolFriendly chinese restaurant in the heart of Fleetwood. The place has a wonderful view of the Irish Sea and elegant decoration inside. 'Great Wall' has a wide ranging menu which also includes a big selection of meals for vegetarians. The food is not greasy, it is freshly cooked and the portions are big. Special value for money are their Business Lunch (£5.50) and Sunday Lunch menus (£7.50). For this you will get a 3 course meal and tea/coffee. Waiters are helpful and friendly.
Great Wall – FleetwoodThis Italian used to be on Highfield Road in South Shore and recently moved to the old Booths supermarket on Lytham Road. I was warned before I went that they had basically moved the shelves out and the tables in and not a lot else so I was expecting the worst décor-wise. It wasn’t THAT bad and in fact the spaciousness was a pleasant change from the usual high street restaurant that is squeezed into an oblong box. But it is a bit odd having bare girders on the ceiling and the kitchen and washing-up area just plopped at one end for all to see. What blew me away though was the menu. This is the kind of retro dining that used to be popular 20 years ago with dishes like prawn cocktail, chicken a la crème, tournedos rossini and steak diane (as well as pizzas/pastas etc). You just don’t see this stuff on menus any more and I honestly think they should market themselves on this basis as it does make them stand out from the crowd. The food was pretty good too and given that it was rammed on the Sunday night after Valentine’s they are clearly doing something right here. But retro, I’m afraid, is not acceptable with the wine list. I can’t remember how long it is since the last time I saw a restaurant list with no vintage year listed and no producer (just generic Cotes Du Rhone etc) and my worst fears were confirmed as the Frascati and Chianti we had were dire. But as long as you don’t go here expecting some kind of fine dining experience you may be pleasantly surprised and it is undoubtedly value for money.
San Marcos – BlackpoolI am a local in Blackpool and a regular customer of Wah Wah's. I absolutely love their fine thai cuisine, excellent value for money, relaxed atmosphere and superb customer service that all make the visit to Wah Wah's a very enjoyable and pleasant experience. A+++
Wah Wahs – BlackpoolI do not recommend this restaurant. Food was to a poor standard, there wasn't much of it and the selection for a vegetarian was very poor. The ambiance and the welcoming of the staff was nice shame about the food though.
The Broughton Inn – GarstangIt is now our fourth year coming here for birthdays and anniversaries with friends.Just as good as it was originally.Service and food excellent, ambience very comfortable, staff very obliging.
Treasure City Chinese Restaurant – BlackpoolStaying in Blackpool for a few days and chose this Indian, after using this and seeing others recommendations. The 4 course set meal is now £9.99 not £8 as detailed on here but it is still great value. We had 2 children and 2 kids in our party and including 2 lots of drinks, we spent £40. We could not finish it all, so shows the great value. Staff were very friendly, though our waiters English was not the best but if you are in the Blackpool area...give this place a go.
Gemma Indian Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaWe booked a table for two for Valentines night. When I called to book we where offered either 18:30 or 21:00. I opted for 21:00 only to turn up and join the end of a queue of about 15 people. I had to stand outside in the cold with my girlfriend. Everybody else in the queue, in front and behind, had booked for 21:00. No member of staff even came to talk to us to explain the situation. After waiting 20mins we decided to go over the road to eat in the Bay Horse pub. Funnily enough there where a number of people there whom had done exactly the same thing. I spoke to people who had booked for 20:00, only to wait 30 mins and eventually give up. It is an absolute disgrace that this happened. Greedy is all I can say about Mimmo's. They ruined Valentines night for me and many others.
Mimmo’s Italian Restaurant – Thornton-CleveleysWe had a wonderful meal there on Valentines Day. The food was exceptional and we were very impressed with the service! (My husband is incredibly fussy and even HE didn't find fault with anything) - It was lovely to be welcomed with a glass of champagne (speciality of Valentines Day) and a friendly smile. We would recommend to anyone and will return in the future without a doubt. Congratulations on being open 2 years!!
Pipers – GarstangWent to the Mayflower on Valentines evening. The food was good but the service very very poor. The food came before the plates. There was a long wait between courses. The drinks ordered were wrong. The manager was the busiest member of staff, running round like an headless chicken, unfortunately he also smelt strongly of B.O. I would not recommend the restaurant on my visit. I should have complained at the time. Other couples also looked unhappy at the service
Easy East – BlackpoolBeautiful place to eat! Style and decor top class. Food fab! Best Indian restaurant in Blackpool.
Leeraj Indian Cuisine – BlackpoolI have to admit that Rigbys is one of the best hidden gems for good honest food. It is well priced and has a lovely atmosphere. You are made welcome from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave, but be warned if you don't have a huge appetite don't have a starter before the mixed grill. It has to be tried as well as the duck which has always been cooked to perfection and served with seasonal veg and two types of potatoes. Would recommend it to everyone once you have been you cant help yourself going back again and again.
