We dined at the hotel’s 2 AA Rosette bar and restaurant and found the experience a bit mixed. The staff were genuinely excellent — professional, friendly, and very attentive throughout the evening, which we really appreciated. The setting was pleasant as well. However, the food didn’t quite suit our tastes. My mushroom pakora starter was quite dry, and both my slow‑cooked beef and my husband’s guinea fowl were much saltier than we’re used to. It may simply be a matter of personal preference, but the seasoning made it difficult for us to enjoy the dishes. Dessert, on the other hand, was delicious and beautifully presented.Given the premium pricing, we had hoped for a more consistent meal. We also noticed that the smart‑casual dress code wasn’t being followed by many diners, which affected the overall atmosphere. We appreciate the effort behind a 2 AA Rosette kitchen, and the service was excellent, but overall the visit didn’t quite meet our expectations.
