Very disappointed with our meal, plenty of food but very bland, sent 2 steak sauces back as they were so watery and didn't taste anything like they should have, they said they would remove them from the bill, but didn't! Service needs to be improved too, lots of staff who were busy running around but had to keep waiting for them to bring things to the table such as cutlery and mayo etc, they were not familiar with the menu either!

I visited with a group of 7 biker friends. Very nice meal, the staff were very pleasant and helpful . The food and drinks were very nice and good value for money.will visit again!

I'm Sorry to say I was disappointed ☹️. Staff didn't know the menu or table numbers. 2 of us received wrong meal & when we mentioned it, staff never got back to us. Food was luke warm. Staff had an ear piece in so there was a 3 way conversation or they left us mid sentence to deal with the person in their ear. Also we were told there would be balloons & banners for our birthday meal, which we didn't get.

We had a great meal, service and entertainment. The staff were polite and well organised, the food was good bbq smokehouse nosh.

We visited as a treat after driving past. The atmosphere of the restaurant is spot on. The staff were courteous and attentive and knew the menu very well. The restaurant was very clean and covid precautions are in place. We loved the music outside, it gave the place a real festival feel. The food was amazing, the flavours are spot on. The brisket was unbelievable. The ribs were lush. Portions are huge! The only thing they could do to improve was the wait time on food. It was almost an hour before we got our meal. It felt like the kitchen was cooking each order as it came in as a table next to us received their starters and mains before us. In any case a lovely meal and I’m sure we’ll return.

We had a lovely time and a lovely meal Our server was bronwyn who was very friendly and helpful and considering th3 power cut she came out and kept everyone informed what was happening and it would be sorted and very quickly candles were bought out she kept checking to make sure everyone was ok I really did feel her first thought was the customers and no panic in her at all x

Excellent, friendly staff. Beautiful food. Good service, even on a very busy day. I will be bringing my family here again most definitely.

Enjoyed a wonderful first meal out here since the pandemic began. Staff were attentive, friendly and funny. They catered fully to me being a vegan and couldn't have been more helpful. We will definitely visit again!

We visited yesterday, me and my boyfriend both had steak. He had sirloin and I had the rump, it was massive! Portions were big and the price was so lovely. All the drinks were fab. I found it hard to choose what to drink because there was so much opinion, so I had a few different drinks haha. What really made it was the lovely staff, they are so helpful and friendly, they really make me want to go back. Next time I am local we will definitely be going back.

Well im guessing that since the crazy began back in 2019, this was the smoke House's 2nd gig after re opening. The atmosphere outside was buzzing, folk were enjoying themselves. If I were the smoke House, I would have made more use of the shelters creating a festival type of outside bar theme, reducing queues for drinks ( that's what we go out for, right? ) we were there for an hour and getting a drink was impossible and only just saw the guy with the green crate just before we attended our table booking inside at 8. I thought it was table service only...anyway, we had a great meal , awesome staff and did very well when the lights went out...it was fun. No complaints whatsoever....the current situation is what it is and all did well. We hope to go back ! Thanks for a good night...just need to work on the drinks side of things.

1st impression wow but went downhill Staff average ordered a couple drinks which never turned up , was told printer wasn’t working in bar , then the barrel was empty . Food was very good , large portions. When paying tried contactless but that failed so had to pay via chip and pin as walking out of bar . Basic things with decor , some of light bulbs not working or missing

Great food as always. Fantastic service from Branwen. Had a power so we ate desserts in candle light which was such fun! Branwen kept us informed and the power was back on within 10 minutes. Fabulous live music outside.

Unable too eat, despite booking as no parking anywhere! Completely mobbed. It was suggested that we park in Caister outside some of the new houses, not really on, and then walk there crossing one of the busiest roads in the area. We hadn't been for years and can't help feeling that they are a victim of their own success. However they need to decide as a business if they are happy with people turning up for bookings having to drive away, because as a customer I'm not!

Food was well under par. Burnt ends were gristly and under cooked. Mains arrived cold or completely opposite of what they are meant to be. Slow cooked beef short rib should fall off the bone and melt in your mouth and these were tough as old boots and had to be carved off the bone. We then had a power cut and initially was offered a phone light to eat under which was appreciated but who wants to eat their meal with someone standing over them??? No discount for having to eat in the dark all disorientated and overall just a rubbish night on our first night out of a short break.

Great food, despite a power cut one drinks order took a long time arrive, but in the circumstances the staff coped really quite well. The evening was spoilt by one customer who made a huge fuss about the lack of light, the staff having done everything in their power to accommodate. She was only in for a free meal, which the manager sussed out and told her she was no longer welcome and gave the classic Eastenders quote " get out of my pub" I was waiting for the drums to start up

Our first visit; excellent service, excellent food, will definitely return!

Staff were great, food was excellent and prices were reasonable. What more could you ask for.
