We want there for the halal food, I asked one of the kitchen staff if the meat was halal but couldn't even understand what we meant and couldn't even giving us an answer the other chife had explained that the meats are 100% halal but the cross contamination is at high risk witch he can't granted for the meats to be halal. The quality of the food was not good at all even the chocolate fountain was really runny chocolate the cakes and dessert teasted very awful. We will not recommend to any one and we will revisited.

We really love the Portsmouth Spoon World Buffet. My husband sticks to the plentiful Chinese food, but I love trying a bit of everything! I'm vegetarian and I really love how there is plenty of variety and it's all well signed with what's got meat in and what hasn't. Also, fizzy vimto is on free refills - what's not to love!

There was Six of us for my wife’s Birthday and We had a Superb Sunday Roast and would Definitely go back and recommend to friends and family.

Amazing Sunday roasts, great sized portions and plenty of veg. Service is quick and friendly. Have enjoyed the roasts so much will visit during the week to try the specials which always look great.

We are a family of 6 with different tastes. Food was good plenty to choose from, decent amount of vegan/ vegetarian options. Staff were polite and really good value for money

The staff were very responsive and polite upstairs, except for the front desk lady. She was very impolite and did not have a welcoming attitude from her face. After I made a payment, she need to give me the receipt instead of I need to take it from the card machine. She need to improve her attitude towards the customer.

Excellent food and hospitality as always when we visit. The sundy roast was lovely and the beers where great too.

First visit to Spoons, my son wanted to go for his birthday. There were 5 of us all paying 19.99 each. First impression was I thought we'd made a massive mistake, the girl on the front desk was rude and ignorant. I've never experienced anything like it before. Fortunately upstairs we were received in a more friendly manner. On the whole we stuck with the Chinese food which was plentiful. There are many other options but it wasn't busy and the food looked like it had been sitting around some time. Some food was cold I think you need to stir stuff to get to the warmth. The place was kept very clean and staff cleared use plates quickly. I was disappointed that soft drinks are no longer included and the refillable drinks are unbranded so I stuck with water which they'd only serve me in a small tupperware cup! Bit naff for a special occasion meal. Other soft drinks were limited regarding low sugar options. The non drivers drank beer. My husband has told everyone he's spoken to today about the woman on the front desk, so bad PR for them. It's also really noisy even when not busy, big industrial air conditioning droning, I mention this as I know some people are affected by this. Good Chinese buffet with an identity crisis and a front of house staff issue. Bit expensive unless you like to overeat. Desserts limited, felt like they'd all be purchased in Costco. Parking free for 3 hours in cascades.

We went for our sons 12th birthday is a really friendly service and really well priced they play the birthday tune when the cake comes out definitely recommend for a nice meal out as you have a variety of foods and desserts

Food wasn't very fresh or very hot. Sushi was dried out. Tepanyaki was oily, burnt on the outside, raw in the middle and inedible. At least the plates were cleared quickly.

Quite simply Sunday roast was delish

Excellent Sunday lunch. Food lovely. Like home made. Chicken supreme roast, shamrock pie roast and chicken and stuffing pie roast all really good.

Nice evening out , lots of different types of food to try and plates were quickly cleared away .

Had a really enjoyable lunch and a drink with family. Nice choices on the menu and we all enjoyed the freshly cook food. Service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere good

Good food and drink. Great live bands in a very friendly atmosphere. Would highly recommend the Platform Tavern.

The pub is oldy worldly, with a nice relaxed atmosphere and warm log fires. Good selection of dishes on the Menu at very reasonable prices. Plenty of food for the money and is always very nicely cooked. Good table service and cheerful staff. I highly recommend it.
