All four of us had a delicious meal yesterday, sitting in the sunshine in the lovely, relaxing garden. The helpings were very generous, nutritious and very nicely presented.

The food was fantastic. They didn’t seem to have my booking on record that I made online, but we were still able to get a seat. I’ll call for a reservation next time, and will definitely go back.

Music brilliant, atmosphere welcoming. The food was ok, but not as good as on previpus occasions our roast spuds had seen better days! Service was a little disorganised, but ok. I'll be back, in the hope that the spuds have been cooked a little more recently!

Our visit was to celebrate my daughters 18th birthday. We absolutely loved the whole experience, I think we tried most of the cocktails on offer, and not one disappointed. Highly recommended, the ambience, the staff the decor, all faultless. We will be back for more

Very poor, made a booking first thing which was confirmed via email and when we turned up they said I didn’t have a booking and refused to seat us despite showing confirmation email. Thankfully Queens Head down the round were more than accommodating with a late booking. Would highly recommend them instead of here!

We had such a lovely evening at SP bar, the man who was running tables etc was so incredibly polite and always made sure to check up. The drinks were incredible! Definitely recommend the SP martini and many more and chocolate cream tequila!

We had a meal at The Chequers Inn whilst we were on holiday. We had four good meals that was cooked well and the staff were professional and courteous. We would definitely eat here again when staying in Pennington.

Excellent sunday lunch with good beer and nothing was too much trouble good value for money

Honestly the food is very good been there twice in a month and had the burger it was so good had to go back again for it. Often stop here on the way to a game, but never realised how good the food was. The staff are all friendly and attentive and has a great atmosphere on game days. Very impressed

Went there on Sunday for roast beef dinner,as we are having a new kitchen at home... Was lovely and give me extra gravy..better than the place we went to last week...but won’t name it...

We had a meal here while we were on holiday over the Easter weekend. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was really lovely. Our son had the homemade burger and he really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend going here. We will certainly be going again when we go to Hampshire again on holiday

Can’t say enough about how friendly the staff were, and how good the food was, thoroughly recommend it. All that and a few minutes down the Lane and your on keyhaven marshes. Thanks to the chequers we shall be returning and telling everyone about it!

We had the roast dinners which we can recommend, the only down side is that we had to leave the table to order drinks at the bar!! But it is a pub as opposed to a restaurant, we like it there casual !!

Our first visit. We had high expectations. Food was really delicious! Well done chef! Price was fair as well. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We shall certainly return.... ....Our lunch though was, sadly, almost ruined by the unexpected appearance of a large wedding party which virtually crowded us out. We left before our dessert. Please tell would-be customers if a wedding is scheduled so that a booking can be made on another day. Thanks, J & R
