The Half Moon – PetersfieldDiscovered The Platform in 2021 when we based the yacht in Southampton TQ. Such a well run place, with regular friendly on-he=ball staff, serving a great changing variety of beers, decent wines and the food is above pub average too. But the real plus is the astounding level of live music here - check out their website. Stuart the manager is clearly very well connected and brings in some amazing musicians.
The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonExcellent customer service. Staff very attentive and food and drink. Arrived in good time. Very friendly atmosphere and enjoyed the live music.
The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonWe booked lunch (Sunday Roast) for 6 people. TIP Initially shown to the wrong table in the restaurant, asked very nicely to move to another table. For me the only problem was that it was in the bar not restaurant and not so light. Lady manager suggested we should specify where we want to be seated when we book next time The food was blooming delicious, best roast I’ve had in ages! We all enjoyed our meal! Thanks to everyone
The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonMy wife and I had whole sea bass which tasted lovely. We had whitebait and mussels for starters which were also fine. The children were also very satisfied with their food. All in all it was superb and we would go again.
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonWhat a lovely find in the New Forest, a short drive away from busy Lymington! It felt like we had stumbled upon a beautiful gem of a pub - it has both a courtyard and pretty garden. The bar staff were friendly and welcoming, and the menu had plenty of options to tempt my foodie family. They were also very accommodating about allergies. I would definitely recommend visiting.
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonExcellent service and food.
The Half Moon – PetersfieldFood was very nice but sadly the service was disappointing. We made a booking online but when we turned up they did not have a record of the booking and said they hadn't checked their online system (!). Service was generally slow. A real shame as the food was nice and the staff were friendly.
The Half Moon – PetersfieldDecided to try this restaurant for lunch before the theatre on Saturday the 23rd of July. We turned up a little early whilst the lady was still setting up for opening. However rather than turning up the way she offered a seat and to look see the menus in advance, she had a nice chat with us and made us feel very welcome before we even set foot in the building. I quite fancy the burger for a change and it was really good. The place was very clean, staff very friendly, and very well priced. Will definitely go back again next time I'm in Southampton at the theatre.
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonGood all round food. The Pork Belly was outstanding. All this with good service and at a fair price.
The Platform Tavern – SouthamptonGreat drinks, fantastic service, lovely atmosphere. So nice to have somewhere to drink high-quality cocktails in Andover. Will be back for sure!
The SP Bar – AndoverI was recommended to come here and was not disappointed. The venue had just reopened 7 weeks ago with new owners and has had a total refit and looks fresh, clean and vibrant. Our party was welcomed by 1 of the new owners, who was polite, courteous and friendly. We discovered during our visit that all the staff we encountered were just as attentive and friendly. Our food arrived quickly and was flavoursome and plentiful. Most of the dishes were homemade and you could taste that the ingredients were fresh and of high quality. There was also plenty to choose from and the menu catered for our parties dietary needs and allergens. Our party of 10 managed to eat 3 courses and have time for a cheeky cocktail with plenty of time to get to the theatre which is just across the road. The cost was very reasonable, I have not found food of the same quality at a better price in such close proximity to the Mayflower theatre. We would definitely eat here again and I will recommend this restaurant to my friends. Thank you and keep up the good work
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonFood was excellent and able to eat outside in the shade on an extremely hot day!
The Chequers Inn – LymingtonSo very disappointed in our visit. The owner did apologise. It took 1 hour 15 minutes to serve 2 starters and 4 mains. Not accessable for wheel chair users, informed on booking and was originally going to be seated upstairs. Was told could have carrots with my meal, but when it came out all I git was meat and potatoes. Ordered the mozzarella and chorizo stuffed chicken It was dry and goodness knows wher the mozzarella was because there was none on my plate nor my husbands. No communication about no having carrots my daughter shared her peas in the end. The waitress was rude when I asked about the carrots. We were eventually offered drinks on the house but declined. My daughter was told there was a 20% reduction on the bill but no receipt was offered so could not check this. The owner did again come and speak to us, and there seems to be a lot of work to be done to make this establishment suitable for disabled people, this work really should have been carried out before you opened. We were not the only customers upset by the length of time it took for service, the table across from us walked out after waiting for nearly 20 minutes for staff to take their dessert items. First and last visit, sorry would not recommend nor would I visit again.
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonWe have driven from Midhurst to the A3 Petersfield direction, passed The Half Moon many times. Never stopped. Yesterday we decided to book for lunch with our friends. The staff were lovely, happy, very friendly. The young man (from Albania?) was wonderful! Great menu, varied and very reasonable. We met at 1230 and left at 1540! Lovely surroundings. We will be back soon!
The Half Moon – PetersfieldReally impressed. Lovely venue, lovely staff, lovely food. Definitely would recommend. :0)
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonAverage meal really, could have been tastier for the cost.
The Quarter Lounge – SouthamptonVisited this pub after reading a trip advisor review and wasn’t disappointed, the meal was one of the nicest we’ve had for a while and the steak in particular I couldn’t fault, service was excellent from friendly accommodating staff
