Fantastic evening of music to raise funds for Ukraine. 9 musicians crammed into the stage area made a wonderful evening. Highly recommend the burger.

This is the second time we have visited and eaten at The Chequers. Enjoyed our food and will return on our next trip to the Pennington area.

Lovely roast at the Platform as always. It was packed after the football but we'd booked and the service was excellent. Nice buzzy atmosphere and a great beer range to go with it. Thanks team!

We moved out of Southampton last year and it was very nice to have dinner with friends at one of our favourite places. Good food and service as usual. It was nice to see the bands playing again too.

A very pleasant lunchtime/afternoon from 12.00 to about 17.00. 7 blokes, loved the food, the beer and the staff. We will return as soon as we can sort a date between us.

The food was really good and tasty, I had halloumi and chorizo salad and some chips. Great service too and was really grateful to be served drinks at our table as the bar area was really busy. Love the open fire and cosy atmosphere... thanks for a really great evening.

Lunchtime fish and chips was excellent as was the sausage and mash. The lemon meringue pie was a triumph

We both had lunchtime sausage and mash, it was great that you could have a small or regular order. We both thoroughly enjoyed it, well cooked and the vegetables that went with it were not something we had come across before but they worked very well. Service was very good and we will definitely be back.

Amazing place. Great cocktails and extremely good service. The waitress never let us be without a drink, she ensured there was never an empty glass and I noticed she was the same with all the other customers, a true hard worker. No food was eaten so can’t comment on that but 10/10 from me.
