We had a great evening and the cocktails are really nice but we didnt eat any food

Went to the SP bar in Friday 14th Jan for cocktails to celebrate my daughter's 18th. Staff were great and cocktails were lovely. Can comment on food as we just went for drinks, which were lovey. Great atmosphere and a great little place.

Nice relaxed friendly atmosphere. Attentive staff just at the right time and not pushy.

What a fantastic Sunday Roast, beautifully cooked Spatchcock chicken and tender Beef and lots of it! Good mix of veg and very tasty gravy. Staff so friendly and pleasant. The bonus was the acoustic set by Andy Grant…we’ll be back for sure

Came here firstly a couple of years ago and fell in love with this little jem. Myself and sister had a fab afternoon on Saturday 8th January amazing service, great food and just a lovely and comfortable atmosphere really love it here and highly recommended.

Lovely staff as always. Not forgotten about by waiter but also not hounded like in some places. Great atmosphere and very tasty cocktails.

Hands down one of the best pubs in Southampton. The staff is incredibly helpful, polite, hard-working & friendly!

As always we had a great, very reasonably priced meal at the Chequers Inn. We visit regularly and love it!

Lovely bar, good atmosphere. Music a bit loud to speak or hear each other but other than that a nice place to visit and meet up with friends. Cocktail choice good and would recommend. Didn’t have any food so can’t comment on that. Little disappointing to see so many guests not wearing mask, I know it’s not a requirement now but would make the bar feel a bit safer.

Platform Tavern is hands down our favourite pub in Southampton. During lockdown we had a number of roast dinners delivered from there and the staff were always so helpful and accommodating. We decided to head there in-person as we'd heard so many good things about the place itself. The food is incredible and the atmosphere is just so relaxed - they're definitely not in any rush to get you in, fed and out like some places. There's regular live music which we love too!

So glad to be back at the Platform ! Original band had to cry off but Stewart used his contacts to drum up more than adequate replacements, such professional musicians ! Food in past years has always been fine without being exceptional, but new chef has upped the quality and style noticeably! My pork belly and partner’s red snapper from the specials board both excellent, well presented and so full of flavour. This and such friendly courteous staff makes for a thoroughly enjoyable experience, especially when accompanied by superb live music ! Looking forward to much more of the same in the coming months ! Well done The Platform Tavern !
