The best meal and the best beer in our 7 week tour of UK. Bar staff (a lady we knick named Melbourne) was as good as any one in that role could be. A great Sunday night. Thank you and thank you to the two Irish chaps we shared a pint with.

We had a relaxed and extremely tasty breakfast as a birthday treat for a friend. The service was friendly and attentive which made all six of us feel very welcome. Definitely going again.

I went to Little Cyprus today (Saturday) lunchtime with several family members. We all felt very welcome and the décor was just what you'd expect from a taverna. The menu is varied and we all enjoyed our choices of food. The house wine was also very good. The service was perhaps just slightly too 'relaxed', (bearing in mind we had young children with us), but I'd rather that than be hurried through my meal. We all intend going back there very soon!

Charlies Little Cyprus Taverna – West Wickham

Went there at the weekend. The décor really takes you back to thinking your in Cyprus. Food was super and staff were really friendly. Cant wait to go back again.

Loved the atmosphere as soon as I stepped into the bistro, food and service great and have even booked it out for my birthday party in May.

Pips Bistro – Tunbridge Wells

Terrible, did not take debit card, forced me to walk to into town and withdraw money and then when I arrived back to purchase my drink, bar staff did not want to serve me, due to what they say was an error in dress code, which they did noy earlier inform me about... This made me feel very unwelcome as there was no notifications of dress code nor did they tell me when i went to retrieve cash. Their excuse was there could not see my sports wear behind the bar, which is lies as you could see what i was wearing when I walked in the first time

Eight at Command House – Chatham

Fantastic restaurant!!! Recommended by a friend, took my next-door neighbour there for a (big!) birthday, midweek, lunchtime. We had crab (me) and calamari (her) for starters, followed by sea bass and skate. Everything so fresh!!--and the service and presentation perfect. A real find!!!

My grandmother, father and I travelled down to Sittingbourne on mothers day looking for a lovely restaurant for a Sunday dinner aand after being told from two places that they were fully booked, we came across the swan. On entering the feel was very homely with warm fires burning and friendly staff. The Sunday roasts that were available were pork, beef and lamb and although at first we were a little upset about no chicken roast once the pork and beef roasts came out they were amazing, freshly cooked vegetables and tender meat. The chef on Sundays is amazing, she was just like a normal mother cooking a traditional Sunday roast and it was outstanding. Following the roast we has spotted dock for dessert and it brought back memories of my own mother cooking. I would definitely recommend people locally to travel here for a Sunday roast and a lot more people should know it name and give it a go as you will not be disappointed. The swan is a place I would go again.

Thought I would try this restaurant as Tom Bell has a good reputation. The food 'Cod and Chips' to eat in was very nicely cooked and presented. However it was very over priced. The service was appalling, a very nice young lady showed me to a table then an older man took over. Very unattentive, gave the impression I was doing him a favour eating there. When I was trying to pay he walked past on a few occasions, glanced, seeing plates were finished he just ignored me. To make matters worse there were only 3 tables occupied so not busy at all. To finish that off the wrong change was given, only 50 pence sort. As he gave me the change he just started at me as if daring me to challenge him. I felt it was not worth the effort for 50p but it just means I will not be going back. Shame thought a Tom Bell would be good to have in Locks Bottom, sadly not the case.

My Husband booked a table for us on Friday 13th February this year, he should have known by the date this was tasking a chance. The table was booked for 7.30pm we arrived just before 7.30pm and was greeted within a couple of minutes and shown to a table, the waitress waiting on our table was very nice and polite we placed our order for drinks and appetisers straight away, the drinks and appetisers arrived I ordered Chili King Prawn which was a disappointment as the Prawns were over cooked quite a lot, my husband enjoyed his starter, so far a little disappointing but not the end of the world. We were then left sitting there without a sign of our main meal one chap complained at the length of time he was left waiting for his main meal, another chap also complained about the same issue we could also see other tables waiting for food, at just before 9.00pm we enquired on the waiting time for our main meal and was told up to 5 minutes as there were two tables before us waiting, well after seeing the first chap who complained receiving his meal and the other chap who also complained receiving his meal (both couples came in a while after us) it appeared to be a case of if you complained about the waiting time you were given priority which is not the standard of service we have received while visiting Lock Fyne restaurants else where. It was at this point I asked my husband if we could leave and eat somewhere else as Sevenoaks has a choice of restaurants, my husband asked for the bill as the waiting time was unacceptable and the order of food was not as it should be and after being told 5 minutes for our meal 15 minutes later there was not a sign of any food, we were charged over £23.00 for the privilege. We are very disappointed with the whole evenings event and will have to consider very carefully before visiting a Lock Fyne restaurant again as the whole evening was a waste of time and money, the Manager did not feel the service from the kitchen impacted on the service front of house and that was a separate issue, he appeared to be quite argumentative and no apology was offered and he even said he had not told us a time frame which is very disappointing as we are not known to be liars, and a simple apology would probably have seen us return to our seats.I must say the meal in the Sun Do across the road was superb. A very disappointed customer indeed.

I went to William Camden for first time and although I found the drinks a little expensive, the food was good value for money and really delicious. I had ordered a sizzling steak meal topped with cheese and peppercorn sauce. Well impressed and have been going back and I even booked for a valentine meal for me and the wife. Regards Steven.

I went to Broadstairs Harvester for a early lunch and got there about 12. I got informed that it will be at least a 30 minute wait for food. This is disgraceful as it wasn't even packed and the car park wasn't full, there was no reason for it to be a 30 minute wait for two people to have a meal. I could see a reason to wait if there was loads of people with me. I could see straight behind the man I spoke to that there was a empty table with two chairs right behind him as well and there wasn't anybody else waiting for a meal and the two people who walked in just before me got a table straight away. I handed a CV in four weeks ago as I'm looking for a job and they never got back to me so they can't use the excuse that they are short staffed. This is disgraceful and I don't think I will be using Harvester again and will encourage friends not to as well and will explain to them my experience.

Booked a table for 815 on Saturday 10 January ,table not ready, suggested a drink at the bar, bar so busy staff bickering. Waited a fair while to get served, whole place looked like it was in total chaos, decided to leave as it made us wonder what food would be like due to lack of service. Don't think we will return, a shame as we are local and have a large family. If we had a good experience would have probably been regular customers.

The best new restaurant I've discovered all year. Set in one of the south-east's prettiest villages just north of Hythe on the Kent coast, the stylish refurbed restaurant is a real delight. The former general store devotes a whole wall to the original shelving and the bare wood floor bards have been scrubbed within a inch of their lives. We'd have like to sat at the small bar to tried one of their own recipes cocktails, but all 4 seats were taken. So we made do with our window seat and ordered a plate of the home made soft prezzels witha rarebit spread The place is small and was packed, so booking is advisable. The setting isn't let down by the food. Chef/owner the Chicago born Jeff Kipp knows his stuff, having earned his stripes at places like, Gordon Ramsay's SW3, Duck
