The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeFantastic roast dinner in a beautiful building. Highly recommended.
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeThis was our third visit this year , the previous two visits had been underwhelming. But this visit was great, though still the same menu , the portions are now ample and the food was excellent. I had the salmon which was a good size portion with a fabulous pesto crust ,lovely potatoes and excellently cooked veg, others had the lamb kofta which was also plentiful and very tasty. The service was quick and the waiting staff excellent being amusing and polite. Didn’t have the kids with us this time but the garden is great. An easy walk from Tonbridge park via powder mills and the new estates woodlands. Puddings are overpriced.
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeThe food and service is always fantastic.. They always manage to find us a table, which is good as I'm always leaving it till the last minute to book, The kids love the play area which is fully visable from the outdoor seating area, so brilliant to take the kids to, The food is really good x
The Plough and Barn at Leigh – TonbridgeWe have visited this restaurant on several occasion, the menu is always changing with the seasons so you don't get bored, just love it. Highly recommend you try it for your self !!
Buoy and Oyster – MargateA real high quality venue in Kent!
The Mulberry Tree – MaidstonePat and I decided to visit The Coastguard on our New Year’s travels and when we arrived the first thing we got was “Welcome to France” on our phones as we were picking up signals from transmitters in France. The Coastguard claims to be the nearest pub in the UK to France and its location in St Margaret’s Bay is very nice. It was a nicely laid out place with good menus and a choice of drinks. The staff were courteous and obliging making sure everything was as it should be and our visit was very enjoyable as were the meals and drinks. Prices were reasonable too. We hope to visit again but more in spring or summer when it will be nice to be outside enjoying the weather and views as well.
The Coastguard – DoverParty of nine of us had an excellent three course meal. Highly recommended. Caring pleasant and efficient staff. Thankyou
The Barn Pub and Restaurant – Tunbridge WellsVery nice lunch today.
Nene Cafe Bistro – ChislehurstThe worst customer service I've ever experienced. I ordered food for four people. It took an hour to arrive and half of it was cold. They did not include plum sauce with the crispy aromatic duck, which meant I was expected to eat dry duck with pancakes. I phoned to let them know. They said I would have to wait 35 minutes for them to deliver the sauce, which was useless because we were eating at that moment. Three hours later the driver knocked on my door to offer a refund for the dish. She waved the money at me, ranting that she wanted me to take the food out of my bin to prove I had not eaten it. When I tried to reply she shouted over me about how long it took to prepare the duck. I politely reminded her that it was she who had made a mistake and then chosen to come to my door offering me a refund. She carried on shouting over me. I told her to keep her money because a refund should be offered with a smile, not with a sneering, aggressive attitude and a lot of shouting. I told her I had never experienced such rudeness as a customer and that I would never buy anything from them again. The food, despite being half cold, was tasty.
Golden Koi – BeckenhamVery disappointed with lunch meal. Had chicken and avocado wrap, very thick dough with two tiny pieces of chicken and hardly any avocado. Dry as a bone, told the helpful waitress to tell kitchen staff. Left starving! starter was calamari but so tiny a serving and not as expected. Family with me had tough steaks. Will not be returning. Plenty of other restaurants to try and more reasonable. Lighting was dim as well.
Miller and Carter – BexleyOK firstly I shall say that I'm writing this sat in this pub, it's 14.20 on a may day bank holiday and there's only 4 of us customers. The pub it's self is clean, spick and span and in very good condition. The staff are just great, if I had to find a fault it would be that the pool table hasn't got proper felt, it's nylon but no big deal. The biggest problem is that it doesn't do anything, no food, even though it says pub/diner out side, no entertaient at all, not even games nights, crib, domino's, bat & trap or what ever else they do in Kent. It's a shame really. I'm not into disco's or karoke's, had enough of them over the last 40 years. A lot of improvement needed here in management.
The Warden Bay Fun Pub – SheernessBeen to this restaurant several times it is a great family run place good food and atmosphere, looking forward to celebrating my birthday and wedding anniversary this Saturday.
Vesuvius Restaurant – MaidstoneFirst rate Indian cooking. Don't be put off by the location or the outward appearance. This is a serious restaurant. The vast array of awards on display testify to the smarts in the kitchen. All those the usual curry house faves feature on the menu, there house specials and chef's "delicacy" dishes are well work trying. The Chingry Jomol, is superb.
Taj Cuisine – ChathamRecently visited the Bouy and Oyster for the first time for an evening meal. Very impressed with the design and comfortable layout of area. Staff greeted us and were very friendly. Our order was taken quickly, drinks were served and we were not kept waiting for either of our two courses. Our meal was exceptional in that it was beautifully prepared and presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will return again soon.
Buoy and Oyster – MargateWe have eaten here a number of times and consider the food and service to be excellent. The Sunday "Buffet" as it is described is like no other and the food is cooked to order off the menu, as much as you like. Top notch and would highly recommend.
Thai Orchid – MaidstoneWorst manager you have at the moment she is rude and impolite she treats guests like she is in command and we have to listen and from the way she treats waiters we whore just disgusted and wanted to leave, food was great as always !!!
Cote Brasserie Sevenoaks – SevenoaksTry the large Vegetable Pancake rolls, also chinese peole in there, a good sign, no monosodium glutamate, best chinese for miles.
