As also the food was lovely, with the exception of overdone yorkshire puddings and stuffing missing from roast turkey. However the service left was extremely lacking. Left waiting at the door, then despite having a booking had to wait for tables to be pushed together. Mains arrived and we were still waiting for our drinks. Did complain about the yorkshire however the replacement bought out was just the same! Waitress cleared 1/2 the plates and said she would return for the rest and bring the dessert menu. Needless to say she didn't return! After a while called over another waitress for the menu. Then waited and waited for her to return! called another waitress over, she took the orders. The waited and waited and had to ask where our desserts were! I have never been so disappointed and I had taken my elderly parents who were visiting there for lunch. It may be a while before I return!

Visited on a Sunday. First impressions of the outside space and pond really nice. Walking into the Barn looked a little dated but OK. Service was good throughout the time we were there. I felt that the food let this place down. The deconstructed prawn cocktail was flavourless and lots of cayenne pepper or similar sprinkled over it to make it look cheffy, but it didn't work. The roast beef was REALLY overcooked. An abundance of vegetables disproportionate to the meat and potatoes. Maybe they were low on meat so were trying to make up for it! Scampi and chips both from a frozen bag so impossible to spoil . I feel this Barn could be amazing if they upped their game and did better food. I'd happily have paid another £10-15 pp for better food and sadly I won't be returning. Maybe the owners should try some other pubs to try their food and see where they can improve. The Red Lion at Hernhill would be a very good in comparison.

We were a party of 6 (originally 4 but they kindly managed to squeeze in the extra 2 at short notice). The food was delicious & the service excellent. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely meal on Friday 19th August, steak & ale pie was absolutely delicious, the staff were very friendly and helpful, busy but all very organised and music to top off the evening. Well Chestfield Barn we will certainly return.

Our recent experience office I g at the Chestfield Barn was exquisite. Delicious food, delightful music and friendly staff. We had an absolute divine evening. We will be returning g.

Comedy show was told run out of turkey then told run out of beef so we ordered 4 chicken and they turned up with 4 turkey so disorganised wife orderd a bottle of coke the waitress just put it on table and walked away i had to ask for a glass

Amazing delicious food. The best Thai food in this area, by far. Lovely pleasant & friendly service. They cannot do enough for you. Try the cocktails, excellent! We come here quite regularly now that we've discovered it.

Another delicious set lunch meal this week. Exceptional food at such a great price. I just love this little gem of a Restaurant in Maidstone. Lovely attentive, courteous and professional Staff. Thank you all once again for an excellent Lunch. Highly recommend this Italian Restaurant.

Enjoyed a family Birthday lunch celebration at the Plough. Service was very efficient and friendly, and the food was very good. Spacious parking. A very good experience and would recommend.

It was our wedding anniversary and booked a table for two. Hadn’t been for years so we were surprised that we had an evening with music too which was very good. The meal we had was excellent, the service was brilliant and our waitress was very nice and took some photos for us to remember. Very friendly and very good value for money, would highly recommend a visit.

Very welcoming and authentic restaurant. A massive menu and the food was fantastic and the service could not be faulted. We had take out and then a meal in and would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely lunch on a very hot day! There were three of us and we all enjoyed our meals. Tasty fresh food, reasonably priced and great service.

We had a very pleasant evening at the Chestfield Barn on Friday 12th August 2022. The music was good, the food and service was very good, and I would recommend this place to others to visit.
