The Kingfisher recently supplied a finger buffet for a family wake. The Manager and staff were extremely helpful in meeting all our requirements and the quality and quantity of food was excellent. As a family we would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment for quality of food and service
The Kingfisher – KirkhamDined at the Buraq on Saturday 1st March, not for the first time. The experience was as good as ever. The service is exceptional with very courteous, attentive professional staff . The menu is far ranging and the food of the highest quality and without a doubt excellent value. The bar staff and Management are top quality too. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
Buraq – KirkhamFirst time visit and I must say very disappointed. Service was slow even though we was an early booking and the only ones in there, nachos were really good and enjoyed these , waited a good 30 mins for the mains, ordered the Henry’s OG burger and was very disappointed. The burgers were burnt and the fries were so over seasoned that they were in edible on both meals . Sent the OG meal back a refused it to be replaced . Was offered a desert as an apology and selected the Texas sticky toffee pudding, the sauce was also burnt. Will not be in a rush to return.

The Kingfisher – KirkhamI can’t praise this place highly enough. Absolutely delicious hot food in a friendly and clean atmosphere. We are always delighted with our meal and have taken many friends. The value for money is outstanding! If you don’t try this place you are seriously missing out.

Some drinks and food items weren’t available from the menu After waiting 50 mins for our food the pie I ordered was still frozen in the middle ! I felt sorry for our waitress as she had to keep saying sorry it’s not available, if we hadn’t ordered the drinks I would have walked away ! Luckily wasn’t charged for my meal ( as I sent it back) but I didn’t bother to reorder again . Very disappointing as it was a birthday meal too !

I would like to see more fish on the menu and less dishes with cheese in - as I have an intolerance but a minor point. Have eaten here many times and New Years Eve was excellent !
The Kingfisher – KirkhamAbsolutely terrible, bad service, food wasn’t up to scratch when it finally came, we had the platter and half of it was missing. Lack of choice as they hardly had anything on the menu staff rolling their eyes when complaining will not be attending again!!
Henry’s Smokehouse – KirkhamBooked a table for 2 for Valentine's day with my wife. Walked in and was shown to our table, was told the beef ribs and sirloin steak was not available. The 2 items I was tempted by. within 5 minutes our drink order was taken. 20 mins later our food order was taken. 20 mins later we finally got our drinks and then a further 30 mins later did our food appear. A whole 1 hour 25 mins after we ordered. Crazy long time. I ordered the brisket and it was so dry. I asked the waitress if they had any dripping sause as you would get in other restaurants who serve brisket. I was pointed towards the tomato ketchup. I refuse to put ketchup on a brisket. Overall - service was awful. Food was bland. Won't be going there again.

Buraq – KirkhamVisited for the first time on Valentine’s Day. We made a 7pm reservation but the table wasn’t ready until 7.15. Not ideal but these things happen. We finally sat down and placed our order and unfortunately over an hour later our food hadn’t arrived. People were coming in after us, being served and leaving . When we flagged to the waitress they checked and it transpired they hadn’t placed our order. We had to reorder - we asked for the drinks to be complemented which after some back and forth was accepted (not offered) and waited again for our food. Our order finally arrived an hour and a half after we placed it . The food was very good and the waitresses were embarrassed and genuinely apologetic but the experience overall was clouded by the delays and just wasn’t great. This was our first visit and on Valentine’s Day so unlikely we’ll be trying again
