Such a unique and lovely place to eat. The setting is second to none, especially being able to sit out on the decking looking straight over the countryside. The food was delicious..and best cakes ever! Great, friendly service. I can’t wait to come back.

Brilliant food and service. Highly recommended

We booked the pub for an evening meal as we were staying in the area for the first time. Staff were friendly and very welcoming and know how to serve a drink properly. My husband had a good cider and I tried a local gin (Trotters). We'd recommend both. The pub was clean and tidy and we were pleased to see the current health protocols were held in high regard. We liked the "station theme. " There was plenty of choice on the menu. My husband had a steak and complimented the chef especially as it was done exactly as he liked it. One of the best he'd had for a very long time. I chose the chicken kebab from the summer menu. Very tasty. We'd definitely come back to this pub, just a pity we weren't staying in the area for longer. Great hospitality, great food, great value for money.

To be honest, I was disappointed. We had afternoon tea, but the service was very slow. The carrot and coriander soup was delicious, but I couldn't eat the falafel, because I don't like garlic and the savoury, breadcrumbed balls had spices in which I don't like. The chocolate brownies were smeared on the plate, so the presentation wasn't very appetising and I found them too sweet. The tea and Prosecco were excellent and we were offered as much as we could drink. I have been to Whins Green before and the food was very good, but whilst I appreciate the food is cooked fresh, it took a very long time to be served.

My friend and I ate there the evening of the cup final and although quiet the service was good as was the food. Mine host was constantly on the go clearing up and sanitising cheerfully I may add. The best part was when we asked for a wine list the young male server said he would be our wine list. Had all of the wines to memory. A very pleasant evening. If in the area we would go again but please book as it’s very popular.

So nice to visit a pub that belongs to the community, and you really can tell. Service is just wonderful and heartfelt, and the food is gorgeous. Prob the best fish and chips I've ever had and the pickled onion rings are a real treat. My wife had the cheese pie and said it was amazing. It sure looked it. Proper chips.....nothing frozen, and all sprinkled in sea salt. Prices are also extremely good for such wonderful food. We will be back in the next weeks. Defo not disappointed :)

Had a meal here for my birthday on Sunday evening with my family. Fantastic food, great service and value for money. There is such a lively atmosphere and I always enjoy going there.

As per usual the food service and atmosphere EXCELLENT well worth a visit there’s a lot of regular and repeat customers which speaks for itself The only negative the price of the wine by the glass is a bit over the top The must go to restaurant for Dinner for two or Family Special Occasions

We enjoyed a delicious relaxing breakfast yesterday on the terrace. A large party inside didn’t affect its quality or the attentive friendly service. We’ll certainly return.

The service is great at the lodge but the food is even better. Good selection of drinks and a nice building with great outdoor area .

Great place , lovely meal , brilliant staff ,service excellent . haven't been here for a few years but after the lovely meal we had today will be a regular again ,outside area were we sat was excellent partly covered if weather not to good and all lit up when it started to go dark .

Attended with 12 12 years old for an end of season meal and everything was just perfect nothing was too much fir the staff the food was amazing the staff were lovely the atmosphere was lovely and didn’t feel rushed will definitely return

These were the dishes we ordered: Fritto misto (fried seafood /fish) Panella (chickpea fritters) Crostino de queso picante (a goats’ cheese dish with marmalade) Cheese garlic bread patatas bravas garlic mushrooms Albondigas de Andalucia - ( meatballs) Ensalata Verde Mushroom risotto (this was a special) I didn’t try all the things that we ordered but overall I think we all felt that the food was excellent. It felt like they really cared about the food. I actually feel like having it all again tonight. We all enjoyed it very much. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.

We had a very pleasant meal, smart and friendly staff, lovely decor, very efficient, we will definitely be back!

The setting is fantastic , we came here for an afternoon tea for my daughters bday and whilst the food was nice I must say for less money (19.95 each) than I paid on this visit we have eaten a lot better variety (half a pasty and half a hummous wrap for savoury) and amount not only local to whins but also London and York . I’ve eaten here previously and the mains and sides are amazing I feel this tea let you down . The waiting on staff were truly lovely and deserve a special mention as Antonio and the young blonde man served us faultlessly and I would return again because of their service .
