Lovely venue, we went at lunch time so nice and quiet really. Tables laid out well, cleanliness and such friendly staff. I had three tapas dishes which were all beautiful and fresh. A lovely glass on sangria, and tiramisu to finish, which was delicious! Can’t wait to visit again.

We have dined twice recently and on both occasions the food was very good. Over the course of both visits we have sampled the venison haunce (2), lamb shoulder, roast chicken, sirloin steak and steak and mushroom pie for mains and all delicious. We have also sampled various desserts including Rhubarb Crumble, Creme Brule, Pavlova and the Cheese selection; again all very well presented and delicious.

Glad to be back at Papa Luigis food just as good as i remembered.

Another excellent meal and a great afternoon. Looking forward to eating at Astoria again soon.

Went for Sunday lunch. Everything cooked to perfection. Service was great and very reasonably priced - could not fault it.

Had an enjoyable visit to The Canal Turn last evening (23rd July 2020), lovely location and views, good food, friendly and helpful staff, and reasonably well set out, particularly considering the limitations caused by the need for social distancing. Will return sometime in the future when we're in the area again.

Visited this restaurant for the first time, Someone must report this place to the Michelin guide! the Food is divine, wonderful waiters, lovely atmosphere ... We will be back soon

Visited The Canal Turn on the day they re-started serving food. The staff were friendly and courteous & explained how they would be keeping everyone safe. There was a reduced menu - but plenty of choice - catering well for my dietary requirements. We all enjoyed our meals and would recommend a visit.

First meal out since lockdown and not disappointed! Food was absolutely delicious, staff amazing and a great atmosphere! The pizza bread is the best ever and each tapas dish was mouthwatering! Could not fault a single thing, we will be back soon!

Me and my friends wanted a catch up post-lockdown. We found this lovely little pub/hotel and thought we would give it a try. (we prebooked a table). The food was amazing and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Was such a lovely little find and will certainly be returning again soon. The price was good also.

We had the Sunday deal, 3 courses for £15.95. Limited choice of starters and desserts but was able to swap for a garlic bread with cheese. Had pasta for main and it was perfect - delicious and hot. Loved the social distancing as it can be a little cramped, chairs back to back and little room to get up from table. Have been many times and will be back again soon
