Went to this restaurant a few weeks ago with my family. It was a busy Sunday night but we were seated straight away. The staff were friendly and efficient, good service. The food was very nice and the prices very reasonable. Only negative was certain dishes a little over done on the tomatoe flavour. Overall we were happy with our starters and our main meals. Good, would go back.

Pre walk drinks, stunning walk in the beautiful lancashire countrryside and a wonderful meal to match afterwards. Would recommend the Spread Eagle at Sawley.

The best take away meal we have ever had. Lovely food, hot and tasty. Give this one a try.

We've been coming since it opened and it's quite simply perfect. Perfect food, perfect service with a smile and perfect surroundings - the quality never varies. What more could you ask for. I would, and have, recommended it to everyone I know.

Absolute marvellous atmosphere, could not be better. Excellent food comparable when we used to go cruising on the Q E 2.

Sunday lunch starter was ham hock terrine a delight. BEEF SUPERB PORK SUPERB. We also had a mocha which is a luxury when made properly, as it was.

We have been a number of times now and food and service has been excellent every time. Beautiful surroundings and spotlessly clean.

I had a lunch with a friend earlier this week. We ordered Tapas from the specials menu. The food was very good and the restaurant staff were very polite and skilled. The price was very good. The interior and exterior seating was lovely. The only criticisms were that red wine glasses were far too small and red wine deserves room in the glass as it improves the taste! Also the Brandy Coffee would best be served black with pouring cream onto rather than whipped. I will be returning and I felt I could be anywhere other than in Preston as we sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine. Thanks for a very enjoyable meal in lovely surroundings!

Been last week got all new food warmers, looks really good, good price too. Lovely food and puddings.

As always another fabulous meal , went to celebrate my son and his girlfriends exam results , beautifu food, excellent service, lovely warm friendly atmoshere , thank you so much :-)

Really nice fish and chips and also delicious potato fritters. They also do proper "Cod" rather than pangasius. Big flaky chunks in crunch moist batter. A proper "Old school" chippy !!

My wife and I have visited The Tearooms quite often on a weekend, we have always eaten the All Day Breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Staff are very pleasant and the food is cooked to a high standard, no grease at all. The cakes are excellent too!!!

15 August 2014, ordered king prawn and chicken chow mein received BURNT chicken and noodles smothered in sauce!! Disgusting!!! When I went back I got a lot of attitude instead! Refused to give my full money back never trust them again!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. RUDE OWNER.

The experience we had at this restaurant was exceptional. From walking through the door to walking out we were looked after having all our needs met. The friendly efficient and professional staff were wonderful. Now for the food SUPERB .We could not believe the quality presentation and eye for detail for the money we paid. We eat out regularly and this restaurant is now at the top of our list. The only downside is that we live an hour and a half away across the border ,yes I am loath to say it to Lancashire we cannot compete with you. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough you really have to go .

My wife (Jeanne) and myself stopped at the Edisford Bridge on our way back from St Annes. We enjoyed excellent meals, the quality of the food and service was top notch. Jeanne gave it 10 out of 10 which is not like her, she normally has some complaints.The garden was also a nice place to enjoy a after meal drink. I noticed when reading your reviews of this restaurant that they mostly relate to the original Thyme restaurant which was superb and not to the present Pub Grub which is certainly not in that category !! Would you please make it clear that the Thyme restaurant closed in 2010 and the present pub opened at least one year later.

Had lunch at your restaurant today and I have to say I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the dining area; the carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks The food was just ordinary. Compared with a Harvester restaurant I had lunch in earlier in the week, the food was not good value. I'm not surprised it was almost empty. The Harvester was full! With your position; in a lovely country village, in the heart of the Ribble Valley, equal distance between the City of Preston and Blackburn, at the height of the holidays, you should be full!
