Hamshanks

Super service by friendly efficient staff. A great ambience with a tremendous choice of drinks. The place to take that 'special someone' if you want to impress. I will be back.

Baluga Bar and Club – Preston

Food, sensational. Price, you get what you pay for. Ambience? A delight. Staff, excellent. Somelier extremely good, hugely knowledgeable. They can't get better can they?

Northcote – Blackburn
Lifeman

We've eaten at the Shapla on a number of occasions since it opened and been very happy with the food and service each time. The food is consistently good and IMHO probably the best in the area, taking over that mantle from the Usha. Staff are welcoming and provide attentive service.

Shapla Restaurant – Burnley

Nice place nice food but definitely not a place to take kids! We went yesterday and were told to keep the kids quiet before we were even shown to our table! When I booked I did tell them we had kids with us and asked for a quiet corner and they assured us this wouldn't be a problem! I felt that they were looking at us disapprovingly all evening! Don't think I'd go again and definitely not with kids!!

Mezzo Restaurant & Bar – Preston
Brian Wrightson

I had a meal there on Tuesday October 8th and it was excellent. The food and service were first class. I didn't collect a vat receipt for my expenses. Can you please send me one for £21.15 to :- Mr Brian Wrightson 26, Woodhorn Gardens Wide Open Tyne and Wear NE13 6AG Many Thanks and I shall return asap.

Food was ok, value for money not bad but it's got a long way to go to reach premiere and Shagor standards and quality.

Shapla Restaurant – Burnley

OMG! Our first visit to Calypso but it definitely won't be our last. The food was amazing! We came on recommendation from a friend and Wow we werent disappointed. Our night was made even more enjoyable by the young waiter called Niall who is an absolute credit to the restaurant. We are now in the process of organizing a girls night out and will be returning very soon!! Cant wait!

Calypso Restaurant – Blackburn

Not only does the beaumont have very good food, the beer if you are a real ale fan is the best in Clayton le Woods bar none.

The Beaumont – Chorley

Had a buffet there and it was pretty poor. Excellent meat pies, 7 nice buttered new potatoes but as for the rest not very good it even included Birdseye chicken dippers unbelievable.

The Olde English Kiosk – Darwen
The Skipper

Great home-cooked food, good choice of beers and great atmosphere! Also dog-friendly which was an added bonus!

Sea View Inn – Chorley
Suzanne Rawsthorne

Been twice recently can't praise enough the friendly atmosphere, attentive staff and excellent food. Fillet steak was cooked perfectly and good price too. Sunday lunches are great and portion size huge, have recommended to all and sundry, well done.

The Village Inn – Preston
StePalminall

Popped in after a film this very night, had been meaning to visit for some time as I picked up a taste for Mexican(esque) food during visits to the States. Went for a large pulled pork burrito, and overall it was good. The meat was lean and tasty, though I felt it could have been a little spicier (I know to add some chipotle next time) and the rest of the fillings were well balanced. Service was efficient and even though they had another large order underway, I was still in and out within around 5 minutes. Only slight disappointment was having gone for and devoured the large burrito, I wasn't full. All in all a nice change from the standard fast food norm, will definitely go back and am hoping the menu includes some other Mexican favourites in the future.

GoBurrito – Lancaster

stuck in the 80s totally dull uninspired

Mangiamo – Darwen

I Cafe – Blackburn

Very disappointing on last visit – found a black hair in my korma, informed the waiter who just denied any responsibility and even suggested it could be one of mine – very poor customer service and hygiene

Spice Of Bengal – Preston

Visited tonight for the first time. Top class food great enthusiastic staff, great busy atmosphere. Wonderful a lift to the first floor restaurant so I know we can go back again and take Dad easily. Would recommend without concern. Scallops cooked to perfection, duck pink as requested and my husband would have eaten his meal twice at least it was so delicious. Will go there again soon.

The Blue Mallard – Ormskirk
Helen Brewer

We have just been for a wonderful meal at the Hospital Inn. I chose gammon and my husband had rib-eye steak. I can honestly say that both meals were of an exceptionally high quality, piping hot and delicious. Even the garden peas were hot-something I have never ever encountered before whilst dining out over many years! It might sound silly but I expect my food to be hot-all of it (including the peas!) The service was excellent and I would highly recommend dining here as it does not disappoint. Thank you we really enjoyed our meals xx
