Excellent night with friends, friendly and accommodating staff, excellent food at a reasonable price. This was our first visit and definitely won't be the last.

We had our first take out from the Double Tree last night and well what can I say ...... AMAZING!! Some of the best Indian food I have tasted in years and we will be visiting there VERY soon for a meal. Love the way they have things like venison etc on the menu. WE had stopped having Indian takeouts due to the horrible stodgy feeling you normally get after but our meal last night was so light and you could just tell that all the ingredients etc were fresh, wonderful!

Perfect. The food is delicious, beautifully cooked, perfect portion sizes, lovingly presented. The menu is great, with the usual Italian favourites but also some innovative twists and new ideas - the pork belly starter - yum. The service is faultless, if you are lucky enough to get the Italian waiter (I think his name is Mario) you are in for quite a night, amusing, attentive (without being annoying) and ready to make suggestions if you ask. The other waiting staff are great too, no surly 17 year olds with a bad attitude just great people who obviously enjoy their work. The atmosphere is brilliant, we've been midweek and at the weekend and the atmosphere is always great. There is a fun happy air about the place but not so loud so you can't hear yourself - perfect. Even though it isn't huge the tables aren't crammed together so if you can talk privately to your dinnerdate. The prices are great - they do midweek offers but even paying full price at the weekend is no problem, they are reasonable and the quality is so good. Well worth it. The only problem is that getting a table on a Saturday night isn't the easiest because they are so booked up!!!

Food was excellent. We were very impressed with the portion size and taste of all meals. Good choice of dishes. Will definitely return!

Absolutely divine! From the moment we stepped into the bar area reminiscent of an avant-garde boudoir in the heart of rolling Lancashire countryside we were pleasantly surprised. Although it was a Friday lunchtime and extremely quiet, the quality of the food, the presentation and most importantly the bursts of flavour were sumptuous. Angels delivered both an aesthetic and gastronomic treat, and as lovers of seafood we'll be returning to enjoy the dinner menu as soon as we can. One starter of scallop, sitting on a portabello mushroom with pancetta and goats cheese complimented by a sweet red onion relish was delicious. This, to our delight was then surpassed by the main of seared seabass cooked to perfection with a crisp skin and soft melt in the mouth flesh in a tarragon based sauce we can only describe as orgasmic. Pity we had to rush the third course of steamed chocolate and ginger pudding to pick the kids up from school, although it did stop us actually licking our plates as we headed for the door!

Absolutely incredible meal had at Angels, from start to finish exceeded expectations, managed to clear all my plates which is a rarity! Will highly recommended! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

The only restaurant in the Preston/Chorley area where I have never had a bad meal or service- it`s always fantastic. I`m getting to the point where I don`t want to bother going anywhere else. Anyone thinking of trying truffles- don`t be put off by the old-fashioned exterior..the inside is lovely and modern, and the food has traditional and adventurous options.

Terrible attitude towards children. If you wish to be glared at whilst you run up a bill of £60 within 45 mins then dine here. Really dreadful. If you wish to eat Greek dishes deemed as tapas then you have found it, humus and taziki.

Great place for good food and good atmosphere as well. Always good on a night out to stop by the bar!

Dorothy, Paul and staff have a unique rapport with anyone who visits The Green Man. They are so welcoming and friendly to everyone. Paul is one of the best cooks we have come across over many many years of dining out. The roast duck is to die for.My elderly Dad cant come with us anymore for his frequent Sunday treat so they always "plate" a meal for us to take back so he can still enjoy something of the Green Man. Well done all, with the food and friendliness that you give you will never go wrong.

Their slogan is the best pizza this side of Italy - and they are not wrong. Delicious pizzas and garlic bread every time ( i am a regular!). My favourite starter is the stuffed mushrooms, and they make yummy home made ice cream. They have an outstanding value offer on through the week for 3 courses, (£10.95!) which allows you to try most things on the menu. A relaxed and friendly atmosphere and always leave planning my next visit!

Just had a very nice Sunday lunch at Astley Bank Hotel with friends very nice with attentive staff in lovely setting would recommend to anyone. Eileen.Taylor

We decided to go to Dantes as it is quite local to us. we got our drinks and sat in the bar for pre dinner drinks, the atmosphere was lovely all of a buzz, the staff were very friendly and helpful. we then decided to go to our table, we were shown to our table. we were sat not far from the kitchen and the clay ovens on show in the restaurant. For Starters, I had the chicken livers and my husband had the asparagus and bacon. The plates were beautifully decorated and were cooked to perfection. For main course I choose the marinated sirloin steak and my husband choose the lamb kaftiko, again it was lovely, couldn't fault it. It was like fine dining at reasonable cost. we then pigged out and both had the tiramisu, again beautiful!!! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and we will definitely become regular visitors. Weight watchers here I come!!

What a fantastic place to eat. The flavour of the food is amazing and there is so much choice on the menu. The owners and staff are so friendly and make you feel right at home. You MUST try this restaurant - you will not be disappointed.

Love it! great fish and chips on the high chairs. Contemporary, great food and boozer to boot.

Just enjoyed an excellent lunch of a seafood Pizza followed by a Gooseberry Mousse. Great place and quality friendly service.

My wife and i visited the Red Lion for lunch recently,we were over the moon with the quality of food and service, also very reasonably priced.We will be returning soon to sample more.
