very good service and delicious food
La Vespa – ClitheroeWhat an awful experience there is no such thing as service with a smile. The women who served me today thought she was really something. Make out to be an English chippy and its greasy Chinese stodge.
Cemetery Chippy – ColneWaste of money!!!this place is the worst place I have been to in a long time, I go out to eat regularly and this has been a total let down! the service is non existent,Spice Lounge should serve goulash.. may taste better than the foul food being dished out. You wasted my evening, Award winning.. whatever!
Spice Lounge – BlackburnA lovely pub and dining restaurant. My most recent visit to The Grapes was on Sunday 30th October 2011. The pub was wonderfully decorated with Halloween Decore and the Landlord and Landlady were very pleasant and welcoming. We sat down to eat and was served quickly and the food was lovely. We ordered off the main menu and the Sunday menu and all dishes were to a very high standard. We have also visited this pub for other occasions, such as Field Day which are always well organised and a pleasure to be at. We will definitely be attending the Fireworks on 4th November 2011, and would definitely recommend this pub to anyone! Thank you!
Grapes Inn – PrestonA frequent visitor here, I have always had a great experience. Fantastic, freshly cooked food with spices you can taste. Friendly, attentive staff. Anyone I have taken has been impressed. Make sure you book early!!
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – PrestonFantastic place to unwind and relax especially after hearing the 5* ratings the restaurant received from the Health regulations. Nowhere in Preston is known for 5* quality in health and hygiene. i would recommend The Double Tree to everybody. Prestons finest by far!
Double Tree Indian Restaurant – PrestonJust come home from having another meal at La Vespa. Superb very friendly service. Food never varies always first class. Prices more than reasonable. Wine I like a glass of wine but some restaurants charge exorbitant prices but La Vespa do a 250 glass for £3.50. I will keep going to this lovely venue Keith and Jan
La Vespa – ClitheroeMy family and I recently ate at the Hartwood and although I would love to give it a good review with its lovely interior and friendly staff the same cannot be said for the food. All I ordered was sirloin steak and yes when the order was taken I was asked how would I like it cooked. I advised medium yet when it arrived it looked as though it had been run over by a bus, The steak was fatty and unfortunately very chewy. I would have to say that I don't think I will be recommending it to friends or family however the staff were very friendly.
Hartwood The – ChorleyBeen for a leaving do, was disappointed with a couple of dishes, lamb jalfrezi was not as I would have expected, ordered hot hot but got mild very mild, they did change my dish with a replacement but still not satisfactory,Friend ordered mild and got hot, charged for individual portions of pilau but only received one tray of pilau which should be for one dish not for 6. Charged 5 times for one dish which was extra with main dish, overall rating out of ten I would give 5,
Anaz Indian Restaurant – DarwenRegular visitor now to Luciano's....the food has been delicious every time we have dined there. The service is first class. Really would recommend this place.
Luciano’s At The Millstone – Chorleyservice - rude employees, wrong drinks at the bar wrong meals brought to the table dessert came to the table before the wrong meals. the fresh orange with my child's meal had an off smell, it smelt like it had alcohol in it.i will not be returning to this pub for food or drinks.overall a very bad dining experience
Highfield The – Leylandwent with my sons 11 and 10 years staff friendly helpful food was excellent even though it was early evening on a wednesday 5 stars
Buffet@Preston – PrestonVisited last Sunday 23rd October with family as daughter is at Edge Hill, really really impressed with the food, service and the feel of the place.
Fat Olive – OrmskirkI took my girlfriend here for her birthday along with our 2 year old son. The staff where very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing. We have recommended the restaurant to family and friends and will be visiting again.
Italian Cottage – ChorleyOctober 2011. Tried to find a different place for lunch but being unimpressed with alternatives we returned to my wife's favourite Deli-Med. Tasty wholesome homemade soup and a hot sandwich were just right. Would recommend to anyone.
Deli Med – PrestonOct 2011 visited several times. however, was v disappointed this week. both starter and pasta were undercooked. left most of it.
Italian Orchard – PrestonMy wife and I ate at Pond on Friday night, it was the first time we had been there since it moved. having a hard time picking from the menu we decided to opt for the 'banquet for two'. at the point of ordering we were shown the banquet for 4 menu which had a good mix of basic tapas dishes and premium (steak, prawns etc) and were told that the banquet for 2 was very similar with just a few dishes less. what we got were 6 very basic dishes, with no premium ones included. when we complained about this (and were due to pay £45 for this) the manageress seemed very 'put-out'. she disappeared for 10 minutes and came back with an obviously freshly printed banquet for 2 menu which had all the dishes we had eaten on and one more. funny how they couldn't find one before we ordered. in relation to the missing dish we were asked "do you still want this?", to which we replied well we are paying for it!!! most of the food appeared to have been warmed through with varying degrees of efficiency in a microwave and i still can't get over how they can present about 25pence worth of vegetables sauteed in oil with a few herbs and tell you that it is worth between £6 and £8. nothing was inedible but the lack of value for money couldn't help but leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. Preston really needs some good eateries and this isn't helping.
Duk-Pond – PrestonI have recently been to the Pines, I have to say that it has really let its standards slip. The food wasn't the best and from what I believe the owner is struggling to pay the rent..maybe this is the end of the Pines? What a shame!!
