We visited on 5th March and were very impressed by the up-market decor and courteous staff. It was pretty quiet at around 6pm but had filled up considerably by the time we left. We were offered poppadoms as we were handed the menus. They were very good and had a selection of 7/8 pickles. However, we didn't realise the price of these until we got the bill - 55p each plus £2.95 for the pickles, more expensive than we are used to, but then again more pickle choices. Hubby went for the Balti chicken tikka garlic with boiled rice and I had the fabulous Taaqur-Ki-Thali, chicken, lamb, prawn and keema curries with pilau rice and a small salad. Very tasty and highly recommended. With 2 bottles of peroni and one very expensive lime & soda (£2.20) the bill came to £35 (ish). Neither of us could finish our meals, and the waiter happily packed the remaining dishes for us to take home. We will definitely visit again soon, even though it is more expensive than the surrounding town curry houses which we have frequented over the years, and probably on a par with our favourite, Shona Spice on Cuerdale lane.
