Akash – DarwenVery comfortable. Excellent food and service. Set in la quiet village in ovely countryside. Large dining area, but check that they don`t have a function on before you turn up!
Shireburn Arms Hotel – Clitheroethe food was really, really good but the service was abit slow. its very posh and even the toilets have see-thru sinks 2 make it look good.
Zio Ristorante – BurnleyIF YOU'VE GOT THE DOE TAKE YO MISSUS TO THIS RESTAURANT IT ROCKS, CHECK OUT THE SEXY WAITRESS TOO!! HEE HEE
The Elephant – ChorleyWHAT A MOST BEAUTIFUL RESTAURANT IN THE HEART OF LONGTON - WENT FOR THE FIRST TIME LAST WEEK AND ENJOYED A SUPERB MEAL
Porcinis – PrestonSet in beautiful gardens which although close to town have you believe you are in a country setting. The food was excellent value for money. If staying the bedrooms are spacious and well equiped. A very nice country house / lodge.
Farington Lodge – LeylandWhen my brother suggested taking our granny out for lunch, I wasn't expecting to be eating at a gastro pub! Just off the A6 between Garstang and Lancaster is the Bay Horse Inn which seves top quality modern british fayre in the olde worlde surroundings of this pub. I had a sandwich filled with cous cous, chutney and carrot, and a lovely glass of Australian Shiraz. All my fellow diners enjoyed their lunches, and my girlfriend and I shared a delicious cheesecake with our coffees. Being a proud Lancashire lad I was also impressed with the pub using local Lancashire produce. Keep up the good work, we'll be back!
Bay Horse Inn – LancasterExcellent Indian food but make sure you get there early to avoid very long wait for your table. Don't fall for the 'would you like a drink or go to your table' - GO TO YOUR TABLE nad have a drink or you will be there hours even with a booking!
Shajan – BlackburnSet in beautiful surroundings. The food was excellent, well presented and reasonably priced, Complimented by an excellent choice of wines. Very impressed with the level of customer service. We could not have asked for anything more! We will definetly visit again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Eaves Hall Country Hotel – ClitheroeWonderful food served in a beautifully appointed restaurant, situated at a bend in the river Hodder. You should try and stay the night as the rooms are truly unique.
Inn at Whitewell – ClitheroeTop quality pizzas in a groovy enviroment, and the waitress' weren't bad either!
Pizza Express – PrestonWonderful food from a Michelin starred restaurant. Who says it's grim up north?
Northcote – BlackburnI have visited this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed. The food is always of the highest quality, well presented and reasonably priced. The staff are attentive but not overbearing. The hidden treasure at the Orchard is the spectacular wine list, which has to be asked for. The range of wines is spectacular; some can be a bit pricey but, for the special occasion, you will have to go a long way to find better. If you have the money try a bottle of Amarone, a delicious heavy red wine (16%).
Italian Orchard – Prestoni have eaten twice here recently having passed the entrance on numerous occasions over the years without actually visiting.what a pleasant surprise was in store.it is without doubt one of the best italians around the area in many ways as the staff are friendly the wine list superb-we had a fantastic bottle of merlot for 14 pounds-and the food delightful.a traditional italian menu but with the added spice of some excellant specials such as deep fried brie or king prawn -and i mean king-with chilli and ginger.the views in summer will be beautiful and with a kiddies play area i am sure the place will be visited many times by me in the future.anybody who has not tried it must and do not think it is too far out from the fylde as it takes only 15 mins from blackpool on the motorway.
Italian Orchard – PrestonDuring my year living in Ormskirk we became regulars at a Passage to India. The food is great and the staff we very friendly and began to recognise us each time we went in and made us feel very welcome. Now I am back in Liverpool I visit as often as possible. It is Great!
Passage to India – OrmskirkEnjoyed a really good and wholesome meal in the conservatory here. The choice is excellent with something for all tastes. Well looked after by the staff in a friendly manner. Would recommend this meal and the run in the country to my friends which would make for a most enjoyable evening
The Sitting Goose – PrestonThe food is very good, I could hardly move last time I ate here. The place however, is simply beautiful, especially the grounds; I spent most of the afternoon watching squirrels playing on the lawn. I've only ever visited on business, but this is definitely an ideal setting for a wedding !
