Casa Tapas – RawtenstallWe went to the Live Band night on one Friday. The band was great and the atmosphere was fab. We are going again very soon, cant wait!
Blues at Ewood Park – BlackburnWe have been twice now - once with the Children on a Sunday afternoon and as a couple on a Saturday evening. The food and wine are a little expensive compared to the "faster" type outlets but it is well worth the extra. The whole presentation of the place is refreshing and attractive. The service is exceptional and the food delicious and presented in a fine way. My only gripe is that there is no waiting space or reception area at the front and it is awkward if there are a few of you waiting for tablesŠIf this was sorted then the whole experience would be exceptional.
Pizza Express – Prestongreat place great staff drinks bit expensive but not 2 bad 2-50 for a small bottle of water bit pricey also my daughter got a j20 that was 2-50 aswell
Haighton Manor Country House Hotel – PrestonWe were a party of 30 celebrating my sons 21st. What a fabulous night we had. The staff are excellent and fulfilled all my requirements. We were looked after like we were royalty and made to feel very welcome. The food was just delicious and everyone thoroughly themselves. i think quite a few people from our party will be returning again, myself included. I can't thank Mark and his wonderful staff enough. THANKS!
Huntleys – Prestonthis was our first visit to 'Huntleys' after hearing many good comments from friends. We were not disappointed, the food was fantastic. the mixed grill was the best I've ever seen, and tasted. the duck and fillet given ten out of ten by my guests. The waiting staff fantastic, not stiff and starchy but friendly and attentive making the whole experience relaxed and very inviting, we will return.
Huntleys – PrestonThe menu is not extensive but reasonable priced the lamb shank just fell off the bone
Sparth Manor – AccringtonThursday 29/3/07 We arrived on a wet and dismal day, but the staff made us feel very welcome, We were meeting relations from Leeds and wanted to relax and have a good lunch and a chat. We were not disappointed The food was brilliant, from the home made soup to the rag steak puddings, to a belly busting jam roly poly. With the warm welcome continuing all afternoon. nothing was too much trouble. A brilliant fine and we will be back again. As chairman of the Bury IAM. this would be a great place for a Sunday drive or treasure hunt ending here for a meal.
The Buck Country Pub – ClitheroeTastey Fried Chicken, I recommend anyone giving Dixiplus a try - you will return ...
Dixi Plus – PrestonBest curry house in Preston! Babu is a legend!
King Karai – PrestonWell worth the money and the best food i have had in Lancashire. Ice cream is fantastic too. Worth the money but try the early bird for a more affordable meal.
The Pudding House at Wallings Farm – Lancasterwhat a surprise indeed.the fish pie was truly amazing and quite possibly the best homemade chips ever.it was a pleasure and highly recommend the new hall tavern
New Hall Tavern – PrestonMartina and Jon have worked wonders to provide a very welcoming establishment. We stayed here on our wedding anniversary - food was fantastic, accommodation very clean and provided a very peaceful nights sleep. We took our 4 month old son with us and the staff went out of their way to make us welcome and comfortable. Great base for walking in the area, great scenery and away from the crowds. Highly recommended!
The Red Pump Inn – ClitheroeThe buffet style meal was delicious and there was plenty to choose from. The kitchen is visible to all diners and the chefs work hard keeping the buffet supplied with hot freshly cooked food. The waitresses are very polite and helpful and clear your table as you go back to the buffet for more!! The price was unbelievably cheap for what we had to eat and we will be returning again soon.
Oriental Buffet Restaurant – BurnleyI organised our orienteering club's annual meal at Huntleys this year. We were the first to use the new extension, tables and chairs. Everything was very well laid out, quite often you feel squashed when out for a large group meal but not here. The food was wonderful and the service superb. I've had a lot of positive comments from the people that were there, many of whom hope to visit again for a quieter meal.
Huntleys – PrestonMy husband I celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary, All our guest were overwhelmed and couldn? fault the service, Ambience and the quality of food it was second to none. The Pines is a place my husband and I dine in on a weekly basis and always enjoy our treat, the staff are so helpful and friendly, Quality of food which at times may seem a little pricey but on presentation well worth it. We Highly Recommend the Pines and would like to take this opportunity to thank all concern for their first class service and giving us some happy memories.
Haworths Restaurant at The Pines Hotel – ChorleyNot a bad Indian restaurant - nothing particularly original but good quality standard fayre. They have kingfisher, Carlsberg and Tetley? on tap/draught, which is nice.
Sangam Balti House – PrestonThis is a really great restaurant. A couple of dishes I recommend would be the tandoori chef's special and the chicken tikka khari masala. It also does a great tandoori chicken that's served on a sizzling dish with onions. We've travelled to Rusholme to the curry mile but to be honest the Mitali is well up there so why bother travelling!
