Superb food, lovely staff and excellent surroundings but to be charged £3.50 for two small soft drinks is, I think, outrageous.
Moka – Preston

Moka – PrestonExcellent food - highly recommend the Teppan-Yaki style food. You tend to have more fun if a larger group goes as you dominate a grill area. As always, Japanese food is slightly more expensive than Chinese in an area, so don't expect a cheap meal.
Miyabi Japanese Restaurant – LancasterTHE ATTENTION TO DETAIL LET IT DOWN. Overall the meals were classed is good but mussels starter was poor value, small mussels with not much meat -perhaps cooked too long. The bread was dry - obviously cut from a loaf and kept waiting. The other dishes of pasta pizza etc were very good, tasty well cooked and good value. The wine was very good and also good value. The dining room is very pleasant being in an older property with an attractive garden to look out on.
Mamma Mia – BurnleyVery good food, drinks a little pricey, modern restaurant, friendly service
Trishna Indian Tandoori Restaurant – ClitheroeBeautiful evening, the best Lancaster has to offer in our eye's, the menu descriptions alone made my mouth water! The whole evening was a delight and the amarone was incredible, tiucci belli, tiucci belli (as we say in Italy) bravo Sun Cafe!
The Secret Bistro – LancasterThe sundaes here are immense! the best ive ever tasted! there are an abundance of flavours to choose from and all sorts of sauces and concoctions to have such as rum donut sundaes, after eights to name a few. You have to try it!!!
Frederick’s Ice Cream Parlour & Coffee Bar – ChorleyThe sundaes here are immense! the best ive ever tasted! there are an abundance of flavours to choose from and all sorts of sauces and concoctions to have such as rum donut sundaes, after eights to name a few. You have to try it!!!
Frederick’s Ice Cream Parlour & Coffee Bar – ChorleyMy Wife and I have dined here on numerous occasions, and will continue to do so for many years to come. The service is outstanding. The only problem with the place is the menu is just too good!! I can highly recommend the black pudding starters, the fillet steak (which the chef tells me is sourced locally) literally melts in your mouth and is always cooked to perfection no matter what your taste, and the trio of desserts is a perfect way to end what is always a perfect evening. I pity the people who have never been!
Truffles – Chorleywe enjoyed a very nice meal in a friendly atmosphere. can't wait for winter and the log fire
The Wheatsheaf – PrestonAn excellent restaurant - one of the best Chinese in the North -West. Certainly better than most that are raved about in Manchester City Centre. Becomes even better value with a Hi-Life Card as it can be used every visit.
Honey Tree – MorecambeI've eaten at Moka numerous times over the last two years and been really impressed each time. The menu is really interesting and v. different compared to many other restaurants. The food is always lovely, and the service equally as good - the free bottle of wine is an extra bonus!! A hidden gem and my favourite restaurant!!
Moka – PrestonWent for a meal with a group of friends when we left college a couple of years ago, been a favourite ever since. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and the food is delicious and perfectly portioned. Lovely staff. Definitely one to recommend.
Jim’s Vegetarian Restaurant – ColneA nice looking pub, went there on a Sunday, I had fish and my company lamb, mine was better than his. I'd expect a pub to stick to more traditional ways of cooking and presenting food really.
Snooty Fox – Kirkby LonsdaleThis is like travelling back to a combination of '80's and absinth addicted paris in the 1900's. In other words the decor of the place is rather confused although it has great potential if it chooses to either go more retro or kitsch. As far as the food's concerned your average pizza place quality, very few decent looking pasta on the menu (didn't get to try it) we did nevertheless get a vey nice desert. The service wasn't particularly eager but has perhaps to do with the fact that we showed up at ten.
Pizza Margherita – LancasterI've visited Miyabi once and was pleased by the quality of the food and service. It is a nice place, nothing spectacular though, I'd expect more theatricals in a Teppan-Yaki place.
Miyabi Japanese Restaurant – LancasterIt is a pity that we live 200 miles away from this restaurant, but whenever we are in the area we try to have a meal at the AGRA. We recommend anyone who loves Indian food to try this place. The chef does a Tamarind and Chilli sauce to go with the starters that is wonderful!
Agra Indian Restaurant – BurnleyMy daughter recently turned 18 and we celebrated with a family meal at the Bulls Head. Had a fantastic evening, the food was delicious and the staff efficient and well mannered. I will definitely be returning!
Bulls Head At Wilpshire – BlackburnI will admit, I am not a great ice-cream lover, however when I went to Italy I was a convert. Unfortunately I have not tasted ice-cream like it since......that it until we went here. On my Sunday ride outs I noticed this is quite a popular place, somedays the queue will stretch right out of the shop and down the road, and rightly so too. We stopped the other week to have a try, and I can only say YUM! if you like ice-cream this is the place (forget Bonds) creamy Italian ice-cream as good as you get in Rome, it's a must
