The Halfway House – ChorleyThis is Indian cuisine at its best. The food is fresh and light. We are slowly working through the extensive menu and everything is wonderful. The breads are highly recommended as are the fish dishes. The introduction of a fine wine selection has made this restaurant even better and the service is attentive and confident, but very unobtrusive. This allows you to relax and enjoy an intimate evening. Don't waste your money at Heathcotes etc. Here you can have higher quality food and better wine for a much smaller price.
Barton Bangla Brasserie – Prestoni first visited la salas when it opened towards the end of 2006. we visited for a freinds 30th Birthday party and i was very impressed. the food was a lot better than la tasca and the portions were good value for money. i have been about 7 times since with groups of friends and with my partner and everyone has enjoyed it. they have now got a licence to sell alcohol so you can no longer take your own drinks. drinks prices are about the same as other restaurants. check before going as last time i visited they still didnt accept card payments. (cash only).
La Salsa – Darwenit's a while since i have visited Nino's it's much larger and more modern than before, with a lovely informal atmosphere, from arriving to leaving, the pleasant staff were all very helpful, the service was excellent too, the food was outstanding, top class in every way, a little pricey, but definitely worth it
Nino’s Rawtenstall – RawtenstallThis is absolutely my favourite restaurant. I drag everyone who comes to visit here, and I always get a warm welcome from Karen the Manager and James the owner. I’m really fussy with my food, and although the menu is huge, I often ask for a bit of tweaking here and there, which is never a problem. The staff can’t do enough for you, but they are never invasive. The place is beautiful, the food is fabulous, the service is attentive and the atmosphere is warm. Unfortunately, I suspect that the food may contain calories.
Truffles – Chorleythe food was fantastic and the service was with a smile the manager is very friendly and the staff always try very hard
Yarrow Bridge Inn – ChorleyTHE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE KEEP IT UP!!!
Balti House – BlackburnThis is a very quaint little restaurant that has a very varied menu that caters for not only the meat and fish eaters but also for vegetarians offering alternatives such as mushroom stroganoff. It has subdued lighting which makes it a very cosy and romantic little venue if you want it to be. The excellent food and friendly service makes it ideal for any celebration such as birthdays. There is a small seating area outside the restaurant which caters for the smokers. At first glance the menu appears pricey. However, be careful when ordering side dishes as they can be quite large portions!! On my first visit we ordered a few side orders and ended up with a banquet that could have fed four!! If you are going on a romantic date, or a special anniversary dinner I would whole heartedly recommend this restaurant. May be advisable to book and check closing times as they dont open very late. Also check out their early bird diners offer. Ive never been for an early tea but there are some good deals if you want to try it out.
Spaghetti House Restaurant – LancasterAlways a great meal, Fantastic selection on the special boards, and you never have to wait to long for your food, good wine list. Very cosy interior and friendly staff, I was very happy to find they had opened another restaurant closer to us (The Beaumont in Clayto-le-woods) , the only draw back is the prices are higher for both food and drink at the sister restaurant which i find a little strange as the menu's are identical and the restaurant's are not much more than 1 mile apart!
Hospital Inn – PrestonBeen several times. Always fabulous food, especially superb service, terrific furnishings and reasonably priced. Terrific location and worth returning over and over again. Never disappointing.
Shaw Hill Hotel, Golf and Country Club – ChorleyWhat has happened the food is still outstanding but the last two times i have visited the place is totally dead, far more staff than customers. It's very sad to see this happen to a fantastic restaurant.
Sagar Premier – PrestonAbsolutely brilliant food, i am actually in the process of ringing them up to book a table and came across this website for their telephone number. The leg of lamb was beautifully presented with the potatoes, gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous food!!!
Bukhara – PrestonVardons restaurant is consistently good. As regular users we are always impressed with the service, the quality of food and value for money. We have been many, many times and have never once been disappointed. There is a special seniors lunch time menu. Vardons deserve to do better and maybe many are off-put by its location. Try it and you will return.
Shaw Hill Hotel, Golf and Country Club – ChorleyWe had a great night here, the food was excellent! not a moan or even a mumble from any member of our party, there were eight of us and we all had different dishes, each and every dish was really, really good, very nicely presented and very delicious. The Lemon Meringue Pie is scrumptious!(as well as everything else..) The place itself is very clean and has a nice cool, calm ambience, very relaxing, the staff are nice and friendly too, we are looking forward to our next visit.
Huntleys – PrestonLove this place.. the food is great, the staff are warm and friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic.
Nellie The Elephant – PrestonI've been to Ninos on many occasions, granted, with a party of 8 or more and have thoroughly enjoyed the whole occasion. So, imagine my TOTAL disappointment when I tried to book a table for four on a Tuesday night. We had some friends staying with us and we wanted to give them a real treat. I rang Ninos only to be told that they do not do bookings for four people and we just had to turn up and "see how many people were in front of you" before we could have a table. I am from Burnley bringing friends over from London to be told, in a rather off hand manner, that we could have a considerable wait before a table is available. No thank you. I'm sorry, Ninos, but no matter how good you are I expect better customer relations than were shown to me.
Nino’s Rawtenstall – RawtenstallI do not have words enough to express how much I love this place. From the outside the Bay Horse looks like a charming, quaint pub. Inside though it is cozy, welcoming and immaculate. The bar staff are very friendly and show you to your table immediately. Me and my fiance went on a Sunday and were given their Sunday menu. We were not disappointed. For starters I opted for the smoked goosnargh duck caesar salad- delicious, and my fiance had the black pudding. We both had the locally reared roast beef with all the trimmings and it was absolutely delicious. Everything arrived at our table looking amazing and most of the produce was sourced from Lancashire, which I loved. I cannot recommend this place enough... go!
Bay Horse Inn – LancasterA Fantastic location and a Fantastic 2nd Pub! We loved the place!! Manager and staff all worked well together!
