Terrific food again. Freshly cooked and imaginative. Marinated halloumi kebab excellent as was the wife's bean curry. Great service too. Thanks to all at The Station

We went last night and had a lovely meal for our wedding anniversary. They were very attentive and polite and the food was delicious and lots of it. There was lots to choose from on the menu and Chicken Sultan Delight was incredible.

Came down from Scotland visiting nearby for the weekend. We decided to give the Ship Inn a try on our first night for dinner and can't praise it enough. Establishment was a cosy welcoming setting. Staff were lovely, polite, courteous and had great banter/chat. The food was absolutely delicious and filling. I'd consider driving the 2 ¹/2 hours just for the burger again. All this led to us returning for another night prior to departing for home. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic. Delicious food, huge portions. Lots of choice with options and no issue with dietary requirements Fabulous, attentive, polite, friendly staff. Great atmosphere. Warm and welcoming. I recommend 100%. I shall be boring the pants off everyone by banging on about it.

Booked for a family get-together of 18 people on January 1st. Food was excellent, as was the service. Only downside to me personally was the coffee machine not working. Highly recommend!

Always a brilliant service and brilliant food. The Station is my favourite place to go and eat, or just have drinks.

I cannot praise the team at The Ship enough for the wonderful meal we had on Christmas Day. The staff were great, the atmosphere very Christmassy and the food was amazing. We will be booking next year!!

The food was delicious however portion size varied. I had the Lamb not pot, there was a generous amount of delicious meat, but the less expensive ingredients were lacking - a barely adequate portion of potatoes and just a smear of carrot purée. The Chicken gyros was delicious and plenty of it. Sticky toffee pudding was excellent and a big portion whereas the chocolate Cremona was a very tasty thin ginger tuille with little dots of the cremole - if we’d asked for two spoons for that it would have been embarrassing as we’d only get one bite each! Staff very friendly, almost over attentive in removing your plates.

We had burger and chips, one meat and one veggie. Both were really very tasty. Service good and staff really friendly.

Took a chance on what we knew would be a busy day and it was - huge group in for a Christmas meal. Mental busy, but they squeezed us in and served an excellent meal in a timely manner and keep us top upped with drinks. Food was excellent and service with a smile and calm manner despite the obvious rush. Excellent venue, brilliant staff and a top notch experience- highly recommended

Party of 4, lunchtime. December 18th 2023. Very nice welcome by the staff, warm atmosphere with a log fire burning. The food was well cooked and well presented, no rush to move you off your table when your meal had been consumed. Will return again to this lovely establishment only a few minutes off the M6 motorway.
