Fabulous setting,great food and lovely staff

This is our favourite pub in Lancaster. My daughter is at Uni there we always go the Waterwitch when we are visiting her. There are an excellent selection of real ales and every meal we have had has been excellent. Make sure you book a table at eeekends because it is very popular with other parents of students!

what a beautiful entrance to a beautiful old church, you just know there’s a great surprise in store as you enter. Lovely welcoming staff, We were quickly seated, although We had booked, which is advisable as it was quite busy. Fantastic food which was served quickly, We have nothing but praise for the Sultan of Lancaster. For any lover of Indian food in a relaxing environment this restaurant is a must. Very reasonable prices too. Thankyou We will be returning soon.

This is our second visit, and food was as delicious as last time. Lovely staff, and although only 8 or so tables taken as we were there early it still had a good atmosphere.

Recently booked a meal for extended family. total of 16. The meal and service was excellent and had good correspondence from them throughout

Ate at the Station on saturday evening 7th October myself , my wife, my daughter and her wife . We all ordered different meals, The katsu chicken curry, the hanging tandoori chicken, the steak and guinness pie and my wife had a starter of chicken goujons with chips and onion rings, The server told us that the pie would be a 25 minutes wait so we had a good chinwag and absorbed the pleasant atmosphere and chatted to the locals on the next table. I enjoyed my curry and the rest of my party said they had all really enjoyed their food. The staff were very friendly and helpful as one of my party has various allergies. We’ll be back again before very long Thanks

Eaten here quite a few times now and the food is always really good. There's a food variety on the menu. The pizzas are the nicest in the area! Highly recommended. The staff are always really friendly and helpful and the prices are good too. Great atmosphere.

We've been the the Sultan many times in the past and had some great meals. We decided on something different this time from specials and whilst the flavour was there, there was little heat but the meat was nicely tender. The chicken dish's onion wasn't fully cooked down so a little raw for me but that's probably personal preference. Stick to the basics and make sure it's the right heat and I'm sure you won't go wrong but we probably won't be back for a while. The staff were attentive on a busy Saturday but the dishes did take a while to get through (an hour for main), wasn't much of an atmosphere but didn't matter too much to us, it was nice and busy... don't forget to bring your own bottle, we forgot!

8 of us went on Sunday afternoon to celebrate my brother's 70th birthday. Varied choice on Sunday menu and food arrived very quickly, all hot and large size portions. We all enjoyed the food and service throughout was quick and efficient. Couldn't fault the meal or service. We will return!

The staff at Sultan of Lancaster are amongst the nicest, kindest, most helpful people you could ever hope to meet. I'm disabled and everyone offered assistance, alternative entrance routes and easy access tables, without making me feel like I was putting them out or feel at all self-conscious. The food was amazing and the non-alcoholic drinks were a great addition for a non-drinker. The converted church is beautiful inside and out and contributes to a relaxed, happy and desirable ambiance. Do yourselves a favour and give Sultan of Lancaster a go!
