Main portions were great, though over-priced in my opinion. Calamari was £7 for 7 tiny pieces, which needs to be improved upon at that price. Carrot cake was worth the cost. Irish coffee was nice, though not a real irish coffee (don't think there was a whiskey shot in there? probably Baileys and there was no single cream 'head'). Atmosphere was nice, dog friendly and professional staff.
The Waterwitch – LancasterVisited on Jun 15th, had the ribs/chicken combo, and the salmon tagliatelle. Both were incredible. My girlfriend had the ribs, she said they were just about perfect. The salmon was amazing, served in a garlic and onion sauce, with garlic sourdough and duck eggs topping it off. Breathed on a couple of vampires on the way home and destroyed them. Reasonable prices, great service, brilliant food. A lovely pub.

Club sandwiches were excellent along with the very reasonably priced bottle of wine, the remains of which we took outside after food. Very good level of service; excellent value for money. A real find. Just a shame that I live so far away!

The Station Hotel – LancasterCame for the "pizza night". Great tasting pizzas and good value deal which includes a drink. However, I really thought the £3 surcharge to swap dairy cheese for vegan cheese was excessive. Maybe an extra quid would've been OK, but vegan cheese really isn't THAT much more expensive than dairy (and you don't get the mayonnaise dip with the vegan option, so that's a saving for the pub). I have never come across any other restaurant charging for this option! Otherwise, all good.
The Waterwitch – LancasterLovely meal yet again in The Station Hotel. There’s a great choice on the menu inc plenty for vegan/vegetarians. This isn’t fast food as it’s freshly prepared, having said that we didn’t wait long. Great service with a sense of humour and a smile! We’ll definitely be back.
