We had a lovely evening ; we arrived early and had reserved a table (we were to travel on our boat next day) so were unaware that it was pizza/quiz evening. We had not seen each other since before Covid so we werechatting for ages with first drinks. The pub was empty on arrival but once we realised it was filling up we ordered our meal (not pizza) and were told of a 45 minutes wait! Also we missed the free drinks with the pizzas and the free sandwiches with the quiz. We Also came last in quiz because nobody told us how to attenpt the picture round. An enjoyable evening but more info for non-regulars would be a good thing!

Great food best in the area

A really friendly welcome, good choice of drinks and the staff did really well to remember what they had. Told us very early if dishes were running low and very quick service. The meals were very generous in size and lovely and fresh.

Went in a group on Friday night. It was a lovely evening and we had drinks outside first with a great selection of beers and wine by the glass. The food was very disappointing, the hanging kebab came with a curry sauce which was not very nice and the vegetarian curry tasted bitter and burnt. Very disappointed with the food but would return for drinks.

Had a wonderful lunch at the Water Witch on Friday 1st September, food,service and ambiance excellent, will certainly make a return trip.

The food was excellent as usual. The service was excellent as usual, the staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

We went to the Station Hotel for our anniversary. The service and the meal was excellent the staff polite courteous and efficient. A lovely touch was the Happy Anniversary message on our table no board. Will definitely be going back

Arrived for a stopover in Caton and was recommended to eat at the station. Pleasantly surprised by the quality and presentation of the food. The ambience was also great. A fitting end to a great visit to the UK

Food always excellent, great choice of beverages

We had a lovely meal with friends on Sunday, we all enjoyed it. The roast beef dinner was the best we've had. The atmosphere was good and staff attentive. Definetly go again.

We had an excellent celebratory meal following my granddaughter’s exam results. Three vegetarians in our party and there’s a much better range of choices than most restaurants. Staff are helpful and pleasant and I would thoroughly recommend .

I went to The Waterwitch for lunch in a group of 6 to celebrate a special occasion. We had reserved a table inside but had some drinks outside first by the canal. The Waterwitch team looked after us very well from start to finish. I enjoyed a couple of pints of blonde ale followed by a glass of very acceptable New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and also demolished a large plateful of well-cooked fish and chips that was sufficient to see me through the day. I award The Waterwitch full marks!
