The Waterwitch was easy to find sitting along the towpath. We hope to visit again in warmer weather and sit outside.

The Waterwitch – LancasterStopped at The Station in Caton on Thursday (2 Feb 2023), found a fine selection of ales (Black Sheep, Wainwright, Lancaster Breweries) and had 3 excellent meals: a mushroom stroganoff (v), cheese pie & chips (v) - a proper pie with a proper crust, and veggie burger & chips. Too full to try the puddings, but will certainly call again in the near future.

Ordered from the Grill Night menu and got 25% for ordering 2 meals from this menu. 2 of us had the tandoori chicken hanging kebab - this was delicious! Plenty of chicken with chips and flatbread and other had steak and chips. Overall delicious and would recommend.
The Waterwitch – LancasterThis is the first time we’ve been to the Station Hotel in Caton & we weren’t disappointed as the food was pipping hot. We had a starter & a main meal but couldn’t manage a dessert as we were too full. We will definitely be returning to this Hotel

The Station Hotel – LancasterWe booked a table for three and enjoyed our meals. The food was hot and delicious. The service was friendly and courteous. The wine and Prosecco was very nice. The convivial atmosphere of this local pub was great and lots of people eating and enjoying themselves. Dogs are welcome and although we don’t have any dogs now we love to see them in pubs.
The Station Hotel – LancasterDon’t go if you’re in a hurry! We had an hour and a half to spare before a show, told them that when we arrived, and still had to cancel our mains to make it in time! An hour for a few popadoms to arrive :-/ Loads of staff but utter chaos … I reckon the lovely man who used to be in charge would be horrified by what the place has become! Sadly won’t be going back.
Sultan Of Lancaster – LancasterLovely setting let down by very poor service. Our drinks didn't arrive for over half an hour after ordering them. The food took well over an hour and when arrived was very basic. The chicken stack sounded nice but looked very sad, as If it was being rationed to last the weekend. The second drinks order took another 25 minutes. Waitress apologies and said the bar only had one person. Not great for a Saturday night. Might have been a one off bad night but we won't go back.
