We booked a table for 8.30 and when we got there we were told we would need to order quickly as they stopped cooking at 9pm. We ordered starters: 2 x salt pepper squid (these tasted like they were deep fried from frozen) and the bread with oils (these were fine). Our mains were 3x classic burgers (good) 1 x chicken burger (good) and I ordered sea bream fillet with a prawn and mussel risotto - this was from the specials menu. The serving was huge - the fish (two fillets) were over cooked and dry, the risotto was a mass of dry rice. I was extremely disappointed and only managed two forkfuls of the risotto and one fillet. It’s a nice location and the pub had a friendly atmosphere but I think you need to stick to the “pub food”.

This was our first visit to the waterwitch the food was of a good standard the bread and oil starter was fantastic but my lamb shank main course was not to my liking it was covered in tomato paste which was very overpowering was expecting it to be a tomato based sauce not how it was presented and would not allow the taste of the lamb to shine the desert was fantastic Eton mess The staff were friendly and attentive the atmosphere busy but relaxed can't wait to visit again but would choose a different main like the fantastic pizzas or roast beef

Visited on 11/04/22 Group of 6, service wasn’t great, had to keep asking for drinks rather than being asked, they did say they were short staffed but then shouldn’t take walk ins if that’s the case. Staff never checked if meals were ok, they were just average especially for the price. The staff that served us were pleasant though very inexperienced.

Was very much looking to this meal, however disappointedly the website does not give a true impression of what the service and food was like. Hospitality was lacking. Food was okay but would of expected more all round.

We booked online and that was easy and OK. We booked for 6.30 pm to have time for our train home. We really enjoyed the food and the service was very good too. The ladies toilet was filthy. Water and paper mess. No loo roll. I let the waitress know and she did go in to clean but these things should be looked at regularly. It wasn't late at night. We will go again because the food was good. Its also a beautiful building. Zero alcohol no problem.

Amazing meal last night. Tomato soup to die for. And the katsu curry was delicious. Fast friendly service. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Highly recommended. It’s has become our favourite local.

Great atmosphere, nice decor, fast service polite friendly staff. Newly opened so a few minor hickups but nothing to complain about. Great food and good sized selection.

Great service and nicely upgraded Wonderful staff couldn’t do enough Burnt fish cakes but changed when asked Very over priced £6 wine charged £26, I accept a mark up but this poor wine spoilt the meal Shame I was so looking forward to this restaurant opening again
