A thoroughly enjoyable evening with excellent food. The duck and pie were delicious

It was our first time eating at the Sultan, but it proved to be the best choice that we could have chosen. The welcome by the staff was exceptional, courteous and professional. The service was equally as good. The food was something that neither my wife or myself had. Had before. Both meals didn’t fail us. My wife is vegetarian and rarely finds a lot to satisfy her, but this was very good as indeed was mine. Both my wife and myself would highly recommend’The Sultan of Lancaster’ without hesitation. We live in South Wales, so the next time we are in the area we will certainly take our curry at the Sultan.

Another wonderful evening at the Sultan. Always made to feel welcome by Ash and his team, gorgeous food, great atmosphere and excellent service. Always worth the 80 mile round trip we make to visit the Sultan. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately arrived to find the place all closed due to a power failure. Have visited on previous occasions and been satisfied with the food and drink offering and the service given. However was quite disappointed this time to find it closed up considering we had prebooked and had traveled from the Fylde coast . At no point did we receive correspondence saying that they were closed

Lovely pub next to canal side, very peaceful and relaxing. Easy to get to. Food was superb and very reasonably priced. Lots to choose from on the menu. Friendly, helpful staff. Can't wait to visit again.

Been dining here for many years. Food is excellent, service is great. Nice relaxed pace and good social distancing. Authentic Indian cuisine with good portions. Surroundings are lovely and a really friendly ambience. No alcohol served, but I respect that and the choice of non-alcoholic drinks go well with the food. In over 20 years have never had a bad meal here.

Great pub and food. Could have done with a few more waiters on such a busy day. Also had to say I was waiting for someone several times & that my food order would have to wait until they arrived.

Booked Sunday Lunch when staying in the local area and had noticed the previous two days that it was always busy no matter what time we went passed. Turned out it was for good reason: it's a lovely pub, the food was excellent but the service was superb. The owner (whose name I didn't get) was the perfect host and when my youngest daughter said jokingly that she'd like everything off the dessert menu, he only went and sorted it for her!
