GoBurrito – LancasterHad a superb lunch today; the sun was crackin' flags, I was near Lancaster, so it was an obvious choice for lunch - the Stork. Fabulous steak sandwiches, excellent value for wonderful home-cooked healthy fare - delicious home cooked fat chips. As always, the staff were most attentive, exuding an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation. A stunningly beautiful building, in a great position - makes a working lunch seem like a slice of Heaven. Many thanks to all who work there - a definite recommendation.
The Stork Inn – LancasterTook my daughter for lunch on Saturday hadn't been there for many years and wow what great menu really enjoyed the south African dishes we chose excellent value and served with a smile thank you
The Stork Inn – LancasterThere is always a good welcome, good pub food and good ales at the Horse and Farrier, High Bentham, and a good end of week atmosphere with live music on Saturday nights. I held my husband's 70th birthday here and our friends thought it one of the best pub nights they had ever had.
Horse & Farrier – LancasterHad belly pork and mash from the specials board...and special it WAS - on par with food from The Highwayman at Burrow. Would certainly go again!
The Robert Gillow – Lancastervery expensive for average food.
Crows – LancasterVisited Dalton Arms on the Saturday before Christmas and the food was exceptional, the portions were really good value for money, I had the seafood tag and my wife had home-made fish pie accompanied by PROPER chips (We shared).... Brilliant, Only one complaint, barman seemed to be a bit lacklustre and uninterested apart from that a lovely pub in a lovely setting.
Dalton Arms – LancasterGood food, good wine, service a little slow but this actually added to the relaxed atmosphere of the evening. Will frequent this establishment again and again,
Blue Moon Restaurant – LancasterThis is a really excellent restaurant and a fine addition the Lancaster dining scene. We booked a table for new year's eve 2011 and enjoyed the experience from start to finish. The food was without exception as tasty as it comes and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend this place.
Blue Moon Restaurant – LancasterWe recently visited the newly opened Bluemoon restaurant and found it to be a delight - Beautifully appointed, delicious food, good atmosphere, and it compares favourably with the prices of any nearby competitor. The staff were helpful and attentive. We will certainly be planning a return visit soon
Blue Moon Restaurant – LancasterHave just been for our works Christmas meal and never have i ever had such an awful meal! After waiting 30 minutes to be seated at our booked table, we waited another 20 minutes to place a drinks order. 45 minutes after being seated, our pre-ordered meals came out in dribs and drabs. To be fair, our meals were ok, bit salty but edible. After finishing our meals, our drinks arrived and the bill was delivered, with an extra £80 more than what was quoted when booking. After speaking with a very rude manager, we paid for drinks, meals and extra each (all quoted prices by the manager) we still ended up apparently owing another £16 which could not be explained by the manager, but as he would not back down, it was all paid. Out of pocket and utterly disgusted, i think we can all happily say we will definitely NOT be dining there again.
Golden Dragon – LancasterMaxwells has a warm, inviting atmosphere where you can enjoy delicious homemade food with a wicked hot chocolate.
Maxwells Cafe & Delicatessen – LancasterAmazing food such high quality and the staff are amazing. All the food is home made and there is a deli counter with foods to take home all at a reasonable price. Thank you will definitely come again
Maxwells Cafe & Delicatessen – LancasterWhat a breath of fresh air, finally a nice cafe in Lancaster!! wonderful home made food and great service thank you!
Maxwells Cafe & Delicatessen – LancasterLovely cafe, lovely people and fabulous homemade food
Maxwells Cafe & Delicatessen – LancasterVisited midday today and had one of the best pub meals for ages. The only problem being that the helpings were far too generous for an old man but I do understand they serve smaller helpings if asked for. The soup was the best soup I had eaten for a very long time. In addition, the meal based on gammon ham was perfectly cooked to my taste. You can see the kitchen was clean and the toilets were sweet smelling and well maintained. Many restaurants and dining public houses have hard seats here they were soft and comfortable. You felt welcome.
Dalton Arms – LancasterSituated in the lovely countryside nr Lancaster is this very pleasant tearoom. I stopped off for a very nice lunch. It has a friendly host and a garden shop in the same complex. My superior sarnie came with a very nice salad. One of the better cafes in Lancashire
Bridge House Farm and Tea Room – LancasterWent to the queen Vic for a meal, the food was appalling, the older lady behind the bar was extremely rude. Last time I visited the pub many years ago the food was exceptional and the staff were very helpful. Obviously my wife and I will not be visiting this establishment again.
Victoria Inn – LancasterSunday Roast: 2 courses, £19; 3 courses, £23.
