The food was nice and reasonably priced however disappointing that alcohol was not available. The fact that the building is a former church seems a pretty weak reason for not serving alcohol given the building is now totally re purposed.

A great little place with a friendly welcome and excellent service. The food was also excellent and plentiful. Two of our party had the Seabass Niçoise and I had the chicken, ham and leek pie. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasty. We would definitely recommend and will be going back when we are next in the area.

Lovely food and lovely atmosphere. We have visited before when we visited Lancaster. So we wanted to come back again to enjoy the food. Both times were amazing. Top food and great service.

We booked a table at the Waterwitch for our first of two nights in Lancaster because it was an easy stroll along the canal from Haverbreaks Rd where we were staying. The food and atmosphere was so good we booked a table for our second evening before we left the resturant. The food is homecooked and delicious, with generous portions and there is a good selection of ales and wines. The location is lovely and staff are efficient and friendly. Would certainly go again if we return to Lancaster.

Had another lovely evening last night. The atmosphere was great. The good was excellent as was the service. The staff are really friendly and make the pub.

First time visiting very nice with good seating outside on the canal nice for a few drinks in the sun. Booked for food and everything was very good and excellent value for money in my opinion. Staff all very helpful and attentive. We will be back.

Everything was great. They looked after us, a party of 15, fairly late booking. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was excellent, the staff are friendly and efficient.

Another excellent evening at the Station, great food, beer in fine fettle and friendly, helpful staff.

The Station Hotel became our favourite half way stop between Scotland and Wales years ago. It’s always friendly and with great atmosphere. The food is great and facilities are spot on We’ll be seeing you again soon

What a nice pub staff and locals l...very welcoming good service there were six of us we all had Sunday lunch it was very nice.

Party of 3 with a small dog. Very friendly and helpful staff, organised a table for us with little passing traffic and away from other dogs (our dog can get anxious) Food was lovely and service with a smile. Staff held it together very well, it was a very busy Sunday.

I booked a show at The Lancaster Grand Theatre, booked a hotel for the night and decided on The Sultan for an Indian meal before the show. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food. Had something a little different to my usual and have to say it was top notch. Service was good although a mistake on the bill had to be rectified, with an apology and a reduction. Wouldn’t hesitate to visit again when next in Lancaster.

We LOVE The Ship! The staff are amazing; so warm and friendly. We had dinner with my two young kids and the food was yummy. We’ll be back soon!!
