This was my favorite Chinese restaurant during the three years my son was studying in York. We will miss this restaurant sooooo much.

We enjoyed our evening meal.We only had starters and desserts but the starters were quite big and it was plenty for what we wanted. The staff were very pleasant and helpful

Stayed at the Craven Arms for two nights, and selected evening meals and breakfast on both nights and I have to say how pleasantly surprised I was - service was prompt and friendly, plus the food was excellent. Thanks very much!

Staff, food and overall experience was amazing as always!! Found this hidden gem 2 years ago and always look forward to visiting every time we're in Scarborough. Food quality and flavour are top tier and on point. Even bigger plus is that they are dog friendly. Will definitely be coming back! I recommend booking in advance though as they get fully booked.

We thoroughly enjoyed our re-visit to the Maypole after several years and and a particular joy to occupy the corner table near the fireplace. The stall were all very friendly & helpful and we enjoyed our meals.

Hi, I pre book at table for a small leaving party we had the booth in the window, I'm pleased we had that space it was like our own private party. Service as always is great. Food lots of options to choose from which was perfect for our group. Will definitely book again, although its one of my local go to places.

We were staying on site so booked here for our first night. Staff were efficient and friendly. Appetisers were both nice but a bit on the small side. Mains were very good. It’s a lovely venue however it was spoilt somewhat for us as while it’s situated on a dog friendly holiday home site, the restaurant only allows dogs and their owners to be seated outside on the terrace. The forecast was for rain so we sat under one of the two umbrellas but this would be an issue in cooler months or if it is raining as space under the umbrellas is limited. The place has a quaint from bar that could easily be used to allow dog owners as non dog owning customers have the large indoor restaurant and large conservatory area. For this reason we wouldn’t eat here again as it’s a strange dog policy.
