Nice food and friendly and polite staff, checking everything was ok

Excellent food and service

First time eating at Tocketts Mill. Food was excellent and portions were definitely value for money. Staff were very attentive and constantly checking that everything was okay. Only issue I had was the length of time from when we sat down and ordered to when the food actually came. Maybe staff could mention that everything is cooked fresh to order, so there is a wait.

Had lunch on Thursday with a friend, not the first time we have been. I have to say, as usual, the service and food was excellent and great that you can have a small plate, especially at lunch time, is fantastic. claire who took our drinks order was very pleasant and attentive a real asset to the business as was the Egyptian man on front of house when we left and went to pay our bill. All said, a lovely experience in very comfortable surroundings. I would thoroughly recommend anyone to come and try out your restaurant.

Ate here last night, can’t believe the other reviews I’m afraid. We were very disappointing, was expecting a French menu and was so looking forward to our meal. Unfortunately, there was little in the way of French food on offer. I had the queen scallops and the dressed crab, which was very underwhelming. I would definitely not recommend.

We've been here several times now and every time we visit, the food is amazing, the staff attentive and kind, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The food is well- priced for the large portion sizes and good quality. It always comes hot and fresh and in good time.

I visited recently for first time .Food was very delicious! Lovely atmosphere!Clean and representative inside.Staff very polite and friendly.Affordable price .Definitely will come back to try different dishes! Highly recommend.

Food was gorgeous! The staff were so nice and helpful… it made me friends birthday excellent.

Thoroughly enjoyed a late lunch with family. Great choice of food, especially if fish is a favourite, makes it difficult to choose! However, our choices turned out to be excellent, well cooked and appetising in presentation. All together, with great puddings too, an experience to be repeated! I have to mention the service - sorry I didn’t get the name - but the young woman was efficient and unfailingly pleasant, which can’t always be easy as she was constantly up and down stairs collecting food. Well done, and hope that your fine art studies at St John’s York go well!

Went on Saturday 17/8/24, sat outside the main restaurant, gorgeous food, lovely surroundings and brilliant service x

We had such a wonderful visit, the staff were lovely, the food was amazing, even our grandson who is very picky had two plate’s of main meals and of course a big plate of puddings. We’ll definitely be coming again.

First time 17th aug 2024 we came to the wakfield restaurant and was 5 star service and the food was amazing. Tikka masala was perfectly spiced. Will be returniny again soon thanks again tanvis 5 star all round
