I’ve visited a few times and always found the food and service exceptional. However my last visit(1/2/24) along with work colleagues the service was slow at best and I didn’t find out until 20 mins after I placed my order that my menu selection was unavailable, which then left the whole table waiting another 30 minutes. The food was good as usual though.

My only constructive feedback suggestion would be to vary the menu a bit more, especially the desserts. As having been quite a few times now we've had everything we like!

Oscars Wine Bar and Bistro – YorkLovely place for lunch with friends. There aren’t many places open on Monday lunchtime and I expected that it would be quiet, but it was lively and buzzing. A great atmosphere, service excellent and food good, hot and delicious. The staff were very attentive but we weren’t rushed at all and really enjoyed it. Will definitely be coming back.

If you have been a frequent visitor over the years, don't expect the same menu choice levels you once did, its current only downside, especially if you are staying in the area and wish to eat there for many nights, you will struggle not to repeat yourself... Atmosphere is still as good as ever...
The Kings Arms – RichmondI loved the service that the waitress women gave us. She was very attentive. The salad bar was plentiful and a gppd variety. The meat man came round with a great selection of great quality meats ( the pineapple was my fav). They can sing a very good happy birthday song and the monts they give you at the end taste amazing. The chimichurri didn't have fresh herbs that was the only disappointment. Will return!

Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonAs a regular I was surprised at our lunch on Sunday The stuffing was very well done and I would say burnt on the bottom, the broccoli was rock hard and struggled to cut it never mind eat it and the mushy peas had a horrible taste as if it had been cooked and burnt then transferred into another pan it had a horrible smoked taste We did complain and pass on our comments and we got a apology and was told it was the chefs 1st day The gravy was very thin and tasteless This is our first bad lunch here so was dissapointed and not sure we would return till the other chef returned or leave it afew weeks
