We booked lunch for 3.30pm on Saturday 25th November for 4 people. We ordered starter sharers Nachos and garlic bread and waited an hour for them to come. There were a lot of diners but not to the point of waiting that long. We then waiting another half an hour for our mains and when they came one of the wraps were cold - the bread and the chicken was luke warm. We asked if it could be changed and they took it back, the other meals were piping hot, however one of the chicken burgers were burned on the edge, it was obvious the wrap had been made 1st and was waiting for the other 3 meals (chicken burgers) to be cooked. the 3 of us ate our burger while waiting on the wrap to be remade and were nearly finished and it still hadn't been brought out, we asked the lady to cancel it off the bill as we had to get to our coach for 6pm and this was 5.30pm, the server was really rude and seemed put out, said it was cooked from fresh !! How long does it take to cook chicken chinks to put in a wrap - we were so disappointed an will not return as the service was so slow and the lady in charge was rude. such a shame as we had been recommended this restaurant

Dined here on a Saturday and it wasn't massively busy. However, I was sick after dining here which ruined my evening. I think it might have been some undercooked chicken unfortunately.

My husband and I came to eat here at this quaint pub. We ordered the fish and chips which I highly recommend. It came with mushy peas and typically I’ve never liked them and would usually leave them. However, I’m so glad I tried them as they were fantastic. The girl behind the bar was working by herself but she was absolutely delightful and the service was brilliant.

Sambuca has amazing food at great prices. Always good service too

I've eaten here a multiple times over the passed 10 years it's OK decor is little dated but food was nice. thats why I suggested going here as a group. I booked and listed 2 allergies 1 being a peanut allergy. unfortunately after a telephone call asking if they could cook in same wok that had peanuts in previously ? And what would happen !? =death After I recovered from someone not knowing what would happen in the event of a peanut allergy we agreed not too go ahead with the booking as I didn't feel safe enough too do so. I realy hope they learn about allergic reactions too food.

Excellent food and service brilliant value for money.

I visited the restaurant on Saturday evening with my 3 friends. The atmosphere was great, and our seats were perfect. The restaurant was full but the service was excellent. The food was amazing, however we were advised to order 3 dishes each + a side, so we had 12 dishes and 4 sides between us, which was too much. It was served in intervals so the table wasn’t overflowing and the food wasn’t going cold. We all shared , and thoroughly enjoyed our evening, the wine was also delicious. 2 of us visited in April 2022 and it was even better the second time around. We all definitely be back.

I had a table booked for dinner at 7pm but I was very disappointed to be squeezed into a corner under a loud speaker surrounded but very loud people, and to be told they had run out of pizzas. It’s probably a great place for a drink but not a meal out with friends you want a conversation with .

Amazing food and very well priced ,has a lovely atmosphere .Sam is fantastic nothing is too much for him and he’s delightful at his job

I have been here a few times now, but I doubt I will be back after my recent visit. The whole atmosphere in the place was dour and the staff were miserable especially the guy at the counter cutting the meat. First he looked at me and then walked away, next totally ignored me and finally here served the other person who had joined behind me before serving me. At the end of our meal my friend went to the toilet and being an older gentleman it can take him some time. Whilst I was waiting for him at our table, I was approached and asked if I wanted more drinks to which I replied no thank you as I am just waiting for my friend and then we are going. Then 30 seconds later I was asked again and again I said no. After another minute or so the empty glasses were taken from our table. Then after another few minutes a guy in a suit asked if I wanted more drinks. I got the impression that I was taking up space an they wanted me to leave. Which we did.

This week 8 of us ate at 19 at 6.15. We all enjoyed the Xmas menu, it was lovely. And so were the staff. . Ive now had coffee and scones am, a market meal and xmas menue and its all great quality food with great flavours. And have now booked an afternoon tea. In December.. Your sured of a warm welcome and great food at this lovely new cafe/resturant in Saltburn

It was our first time at Brooks but it won't be our last. We chose 2 fish and 2 veggie tapas dishes with 2 sides. All were beautifully presented and delicious. As were the deserts, especially the sherry cake and icecream. (I'm going to have to try to make something like that at home!) We were warmly welcomed by the friendly proprietor who seemed to know the other diners well, and it was busy for an early Thursday evening. Obviously the people of Ilkley and round about, appreciate the quality of Brooks, too. We're looking forward to our next visit. To make it even better, I would like Sri Lankan music and photos of Sri Lanka to add to the atmosphere.

Our first visit. We had the market menu and will book to come back for the taster menu. Very nice environment and excellent service. The food was really top class. I thought it was good value for the quality of the experience.

Eaten here couple of times. Both the market menu and the full tasting menu. Great food and service. Lovely to see this sort of quality so local. Will definitely be back and continue to support this fine establishment.
