Denmans Restaurant – HalifaxWe had an amazing meal at the Craven Arms. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is really cosy and relaxed. The staff were so pleasant and made you feel very at home. We also loved the menu with lots of interesting vegan options- the mushroom pie was excellent! It was also very reasonably priced given the quality of the food and the good sized portions. We would absolutely recommend this place and will definitely go again.
Craven Arms – SettleHands down the best food I’ve had to date! Definitely be back for more
Food For Cowboys – HullAlways have a lovely meal when we visit Little Scilly, can't fault it! The garlic bread with tomato & stilton is a must try. Staff are always welcoming and friendly.
Little Sicily – BridlingtonGreat place. Fantastic food and lovely atmosphere. Staff great . Very helpful.
Tocketts Mill Country Park and Restaurant – GuisboroughHello Le Bistro, You have invited us to write a review regarding our meal on 22 February. We do not like to write negative reviews that will be made public so we would prefer you to regard this as customer feedback to you as you have specifically requested a review. We booked a table with you as we wanted to give ourselves a treat for my birthday. The menus were left with us whilst we chose our meal. When the person waiting on our table took our order, we were informed that one of our choices was not available. It is a shame that was not pointed out originally. Our starter courses both seemed to have been reheated. The French onion soup tasted intense and over-reduced; the scallops were completely overcooked, with the sauce burnt around the edges and dried to a porridge consistency. We both ordered Award Winning Sea food money bags as our main course. The pastry was dark, the interior was dry, the fish was clothy and tough, the prawns were hard and the scallops were tasteless and overcooked. When we requested the bill we were directed downstairs where we payed and, for the first time we're asked if everything was ok. We said that we were not at all happy with the food. There was no apology or even any enquiry about our complaint. The staff we saw were all very young and inexperienced and so we can't blame them. I'm sorry that we have to give such a negative response, but the whole experience was incredibly disappointing, especially as it was my birthday. Please don't publish this publicly, we do not want to harm your business.
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonWe always try to eat at this fab restaurant whenever we are in Bridlington. Our meal was certainly worth the drive from Sheffield. The food was delicious and the staff were so attentive. Thank you and hopefully we will see you soon.
Little Sicily – BridlingtonThe food was absolutely amazing no words to describe how good it was! Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere as well. Highly recommend, cannot wait to return
Food For Cowboys – HullThe service and food was fabulous, we will be going again
Sambuca Ristorante Morley – MorleyThis place and Le Cavaux are the best places I have eaten anywhere and I live east of Ilkley so have tried quite a wide range of places across Wharfedale and Craven etc. (I admit I've never tried the Box Tree or Grantley Manor/Hotel but for the money Le Bistro des Amis is really good and we only had the early bird, (well pleased). Beats anywhere I've tried in Leeds etc. I only very very rarely ever give anyone or anything 5 stars but I had no bones to pick here and I can be very critical
Le Bistro Des Amis – SkiptonWe visit this wonderful place quite often and the food , atmosphere , staff is always fantastic. One of my favorite meals has always been the Gammon and chips, however, i got quite a shock to see that it has increased in price by a lot! However, there are still other gorgeous meals to choose from. Definately worth a visit!
Tocketts Mill Country Park and Restaurant – GuisboroughI love eating in Omni whenever I visit Malton. The tapas menu is full of tasty food made from quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. I've never had a bad dish. Service and ambience are also spot on.
Omni Malton – YorkWe were delighted at getting a table at Denmans last minute. We'd never been. We booked November 13th but to our dismay when we arrived the whole place was locked up, lights off. We assumed as a very intimate venue there was obviously some sort of emergency so we didn't let it put us off. However we did call up when the restaurent opened at 6pm to double check we were booked - following the mishap we had in November. We were met with some rudeness on the phone, we asked if we could check that the booking was live and she asked if we'd booked online, we said yes, she replied well you're booked then. My partner persisted and asked her to check, she asked his name and said yes we were booked. I was really really excited, I've been wanting to try it for so long. We usually go to the engine in sowerby bridge for this type of food, it's our favourite style of dining. Back to last night. We arrived and were briefly and flatly acknowledged as the lady continued making cocktails, no issue, she was busy. More than happy to wait. Until a table of four walked in behind us and was met with a warm greeting of nice to see you again etc etc- she went ahead and seated them. Before us. We remained stood there for another 5 mins or so whilst she finished making cocktails for the other seated table. We were then given a seat an offered a wine menu and a cocktail menu, I let the lady know we don't drink alcohol but would love a mocktail if she has a menu. Flat no. I asked if maybe she had some Elderflower cordial, which she did and had this with a lemonade. It was a nice alternative. The lady then took the table of 4s order first, again....they had arrived after us. Our turn to order, I don't like nuts, but would never asked a chef to make fundamental changes to dishes, especially in a restaurent like this. If i can tell its embedded in the dish ill choose something else. However if its clear from the menu that the nuts are possible to remove then I would ask if I can have the dish without it. Example....taking walnuts off a salad. This particular nut aspect was a pistachio crumb. I asked for the dish and if it could be without the pistachio. In an almost incredulous voice I was asked...what no nuts, I said yes if possible. She told me as sternly as she could muster she "would have to go check with him". At this point I looked away from the conversation and had to look at my plate because it was getting difficult to bite my tongue. We were polite from the off, even after the annoyance of practically being ignored when we arrived. She recognised this I think so then said "well what does it say the nuts are", I replied....just a crumb....she agreed then that it could probably be removed. We waited 45 minutes for the first dish to arrive. To be honest we'd made a decision at 7.12pm that we'd leave at half past if nothing had come up. It arrived a few minutes later. All in all, good food. Great flavours, nice range of dishes and good portions to have a few. Sadly we won't return, regardless of how polite we were we just weren't getting even the basic hospitality. £100 for a meal for two with just two soft drinks - We got better service and a smile at the greasy spoon breakfast we had this morning.
